United States Power Squadron Flag Yacht Club Ensign Pin The flag of the United States Power Squadrons is 13 VERTICAL stripes of BLUE and white. With a red canton displaying the 13 star/fouled anchor emblem seen in the yacht ensign. The ensign of USPS was designed to be(in essence) the"reverse" of the United States yacht ensign which is the"Betsy Ross" flag with the fouled anchor inside the circle of 13 stars. Both the colors and the direction of the stripes are reversed. The count of everything remains the same as also of course the position of the canton. It was designed by then Chief Commander Roger Upton(the first Chief Cdr) It was patented(a so called design patent) in 1914. USPS began in 1914. Before that date it was a loose confederation of power squadrons groups within individual yacht clubs.

Some of the original lettering is still slightly visible on the glass. They are identified internally on a ceramic insulator with 92-4-643 0.130& 7-2148 0.137. Plates look good and I don't see any evidence of abuse or neglect. They are pull's from an AM station in Michigan. And are guaranteed to work. Selling a pair of United Transformer Company UTC CG-100 Commercial Grade Chokes. They are used in the power supply of high quality tube amplifiers. One of these has a light coat of gray paint over the tag. But you can see that it is marked CG-100. They have been sitting for 40 years and a little paint from the shelf has stuck to the top. I have measured both DC resistance. One is 116 and the other is 120 ohms. Specs are 12 H and 110 ohms 150 madc 4.5 inches tall and about 3.5 inches in diameter. Mounting hole centers are 3" x 3" center to center.
