Up for sale is a Nikko Alpha 450 DC Power Amplifier. The unit does have several scratches around the body yet nothing major. The power amp however does have a little problem when playing music as in theres noise on both left channels- a constant distortion sound. The amps' lights and meters however function perfectly and the appearance of them lite is gorgeous. This player can easily be fixed and would be a perfect amplifier to match with any speaker. I had them connected to a pair of vintage JBL 4406 speakers and it sounded superb(putting aside the distortion of course) Amplifier is very heavy and thus the reason for the high shipping cost. The pre-amp/tuner is missing the plastic power button but it is only cosmetic. As for you can turn it on using the button that is viewable in the pictures I have provided. All controls were checked. All lamps that were bad were replaced. The amplifier was tested for over 24 hours running and also checked at the local McIntosh authorized dealer's service department. There appeared to be no problems. So you should feel confident that you are getting a good amplifier. The amplifier did not"clip" until it was driven over its rated power. I never used any cleaning products on the front to get the dust off I just wiped it off with a rag that was hardly damp and while it was kind of dim in the room when I took the pictures I think you get the idea, but just know that you will be able to get most of the marks that you are seeing from the flash off or you just don't see them normally cause I didn't before I packed it up for shipping. Overall an 8.5/10 I would say. I had to take it into a local shop for rweek.Rs recently because It wouldn't turn on. After opening up the amp to diagnose the power issue it was determined that 2 of the internal rail fuses had failed and needed to be replaced and cold soldered. The job cost $120.00 for parts and labor ... moreand that included the $90 bench fee just to have them take a look and test it. It was well worth every penny because its a clean amp on the outside and now, the insides are clean and it works and sounds remarkable. I also had them thoroughly test this amp and put it through the ringer after the repair for a full week, Just to make sure it could take anything. I just don't have any use for this unit(used to be my fathers) and wanted to make sure I was selling a solid product to my customers. I have receipts from the repair if needed or wanted for proof of service or something. This is a very nice amp. Please don't hesitate to ask any question you may have. Adcom GFA-535 Power Amplifier Great Condition Fully Tested Dual Power Supplies
For sale is a used Adcom GFA-535 2 channel power amplifier. It is in pretty good condition. Just a few minor nicks on the top case. I have fully checked and tested this amp and it works without any problems. Very Quiet background. This amp is rated at 6o wpc but reviews say it's more like 80wpc. Take a look at how this amp is put together. Very nice quality of construction. This amp is really dual mono construction! Separate power transformers for each channel. Adcom GFA-545 Stereo Power Amplifier - Tested - Excellent Condition!
Adcom GFA-545 100 watt/x2 amplifier fully tested. Working beautifully. Professionally serviced/checked out. All solder joints checked/reflowed as necessary, capacitors checked for esr. Everything found to be in spec and working excellent! Cosmetically it is very nice, but there are a few scratches(shown in the pictures) on the top and front edge. Adcom GFA-6000 5 Channel Power Amplifier 100% working order
This Amplifier has been in a closet for several years covered with plastic& still in 100% working order. There are some screw holes that have been filled in with hot glue because of 1 time a fuse blew& was replaced& some screws were so tight that it stripped the screw heads trying to remove the cover. I don't know why ADCOM overtighted the screws. So it does not have nothing to do with the working of the unit. I have updated to 2 Adcoms GFA-7005 amplifiers& no longer have use for it. Unit weighs quite a bit 40-45 lbs shipped.
