This auction is for the vintage McIntosh MC 2100 Twin 105 Watt Stereo Amplifier ONLY. I purchased a whole McIntosh stereo system from an estate but I'm selling it off component by component. The original system included a McIntosh C-28 Stereophonic Pre-amplifier. A McIntosh MR 77 FM Tuner, a McIntosh MQ101 Environmental Equalizer, and McIntosh ML-1C speakers. When I tried the system it tuned in music on the left channel that sounded sort of OK but not near the level of quality that a super high end system should produce. It seemed to have plenty of power but not the best sound. The right channel produced only a little music with a lot of static. I know nothing about super high end stereos so I don't know what's wrong with the system. I played with most of the knobs and dials on the the various components. Most seemed to work or ... morea least do something. Some didn't seem to do much at all, but maybe I just didn't know how to use them. Two things for sure. The system wouldn't work at all with the 2100 Amp plugged into the Power Amp outlet on the back of the Pre-Amp. Outlet didn't seem to work so I had to plug it into a separate outlet, then the system worked. The volume control on the Pre-Amp controlled the volume, the volume control on the Tuner did nothing, but maybe that's normal for only one volume control to work at a time, I don't know. Maybe some components are fine and others might not work at all-I just don't have the knowledge to trouble shoot them. So all that being said I'm selling the components in"AS IS" condition-NO REFUNDS. You should probably assume that each component will probably need some work or repairs to work correctly. This is a CROWN Powerline one power amplifier. Like all Crown products. It is conservatively rated.in this case at 40 watts per channer at 8ohms. It is bridgeable to mono at increased ratings, via a switch on the back of the amp. It is in very good condition and is from the era in which CROWN made high-end audio for the home, as well as professional models for touring and studios. Item is clean, showing only minimal wear. It is a second that I bought to use as one of a mono pair in a higher power application, that I have since changed. I am a CROWN fanatic and have owned and still own many pieces of CROWN equipment. These Dynakit amps are know for their very warm tube sound and outstanding quality. I purchased this with a matching preamp from the estate of the original owners. It was installed in a console and fell from the back of the cabinet when they went to move it. The transformers were bent from the base and one of the tube centers was broken(see photos below) It still powers up and tubes illuminate(with exception of the one with the broken base) but will leave it to a tube amp expert to do a complete bench test. Nice Harman Kardon Citation Twelve XII Stereo Power Amplifier
Up for sale is a nice Harman Kardon Citation Twelve XII all solid state stereo power amplifier. It is the fourth of four units I have refurbished. Like the first three units sold. This amp does have some appearance issues but has, essentially, been completely rebuilt with new high-spec components. NOTE: It does NOT have a top cover. Electrically and sonically it is excellent. It carries S/N 0770009. Ever since these amps were introduced(along with the Citation Eleven XI preamp) this series of stereo equipment has been a favorite of mine. Design is simple and straightforward and performance is proven and reliable. As with the others. This unit arrived from a commercial installation where the amps received good care, but there are some scratches and rust spots on the outside of the chassis and bottom cover. That said, because these units remain ... morepopular and are such reliable performers it was simple logic(well, for me anyway) to restore the amps. Here is a summary of the work: Dismantled amp. Cleaned surfaces, inspected wiring and construction, checked main power supply components(transformers x 2, rectifiers x 2 and filter capacitors x 4) in the amp. As was common, the transformer bushings had deteriorated and the transformers rattled badly so replaced 16x bushings. Checked 4 x large capacitors and all found OK. Replaced 8 x electrolytic caps(all of them) on the Left and Right preamp/driver boards. Replaced 4 x output transistors with new On Semi MJ15003G higher power, higher spec units and new Wakefield silicone insulators. Replaced both red/black banana/5-way binding post connectors for audio output on front panel. Replaced RCA signal input jacks with red and white(right and left) gold plated, higher spec chassis mounted jacks. Replaced 110V pilot light with new Chicago Miniature Lamp red colored neon lamp assembly. Replaced both front panel fuse holders, locking nuts and caps. New 3AG 3A fuses. Replaced line cord with new 8' cord, polarized plug and new strain relief grommet. Added a 30 ohm, 5 amp inrush c

Carver M-500t Magnetic Field Stereo Amplifier Up for auction is a very cool Carver M-500t power amplifier. The M-500t is rated to deliver 250 watts per channel@ 8 ohms and even more at 4 ohms. The sound is very smooth and powerful. I've used it with multiple speakers and liked how it sounded better than just about anything else I've had. IMPORTANT: The amplifier has unfortunately developed some problems more than likely due to the aging capacitors. Which I believe to be all original. Sometimes the left channel will lose output if the source level of input is not high enough. It's a rare occurrence that typically happens only when watching movies(quiet moments are usually when this happens) I didn't notice the problem as much with music even at background music levels. The amplifier needs to be gone through and serviced and ... moreprobably needs a thorough cleaning. If not for this issue I would still be using the amplifier today. This item is sold AS-IS because of this problem. QSC USA 850 Power Amplifier 425 Watts Per Channel into 4 Ohms
This amp was used two to three hours a week to power monitor wedges for services and rehearsals. This amp is no longer needed since we switched to in-ear monitors at our church. It is a workhorse and has a lot of life left in it. As mentioned above. I cleaned the amp inside and out and also cleaned and treated the input level adjustment pots. I then tested it for about 20 minutes playing a CD through a couple of wedge monitors at moderate to high volume. It sounds clean and punchy and works great. It comes with the manual and rack screws.
