I have been an electronic radio tech and business owner for 35 years, and in my experience, there is no better machine for either base or repeater operations! Currently programmed as a repeater in narrow band operation, the radio breaks squelch at-122 dBm@ 12 dB SINAD and is set to 55 Watts output power for testing purposes. at 125 Watts, it makes my HP8920B sound the overpower alarm! This auction is for one amp only. I have a total of five if you want more than one just let me know how many you want and I will adjust the price accordingly. Three of the amps are perfect no issues whatsoever these will be sold first come first serve. The other two amps need to be connected with banana plugs because the wire terminals don't turn freely. Not really an issue for me since I use banana plugs on all five amps anyway. These are the best amps I have ever owned I hope I don't regret my upgrade. About 1975, this was Heath's premier amplifier, and with good reason. Specifications are 70 watts RMS per channel at less than 0.08% THD from 20 to 20,000 Hz. These working power amplifiers and their power supply were removed from an otherwise working AA-1515 when the preamplifier section developed troubles that couldn't be economically fixed. The power amplifiers. However, were still working properly and sounded great! The power amplifiers are modular and are easily reconnected. As is the power supply. Just plug them back together, add a power cord to the power supply, and hook up your speakers. Then apply an input from your preamplifier to the AA-1515 input ... morejacks and listen. But could be used in any monoblick application. There is a dent in the top of the tube cage, but it should be fairly easy to straighten. The tubes are missing except for the rectifier tube. The original switch and volume control have been replaced. The original power cord is rotted and needs to be replaced. Otherwise it appears to be complete. I have not tested it and do not know whether it works, but as with all such vintage tube electronics, it will probably need new capacitors. Each resistor with 2 mica and 2 brass washers and nut with lock washer. And of course would work great for a 5 watt application. Ceramic body 1-3/4" long, solder lugs 1-3/8" center-to-center. LEGENDARY COUNTERPOINT SA-20 STEREO TUBE HYBRID AMPLIFIER WITH ITS ORIGINAL OWNER’S MANUAL and other point-of-sale papers. When new. In 1987, this amp sold for $1,975. The power output rating is 220 watts@ 8ohms& 420 watts@ 4 ohms. It also has a mono-bridging switch which converts this amp to mono having 600 watts. The front panel is very simple There’s a power switch and an LED light which displays red during warm-up, then green when ready. Warm-up time is about one minute. This unit is rack-mountable. This one-owner amplifier has had limited use over the years and works perfect. It comes from a smoke free home. I’m not sure if the power cord is original. But the plug has been replaced and the cord is short: 10” long. Cosmetically. There are a few issues, none of which affect the performance or sound quality of the unit. There is a tiny ... morescrape on one edge of the front plate, so a touch of black is missing. Also, it appears that some piece of very heavy equipment was placed atop the cabinet. You can see the impression of four round rubber feet. Around one of those impressions, there is a tiny patch of missing paint, which can be seen in one of the photos. And one of the legs actually created a very, very shallow depression. It is slight, but definitely there. This amplifier is very heavy and very big. It weighs 70 pounds and measures 19 x 19 x 9” Due to its weight. The cost of shipping will be determined by the address of the buyer.
