Roland CammJet 500- CJ-500 Wide Format Printer& Cutter in EXCELLENT condition cosmetically. I bought this from the Original owner and I know them personally and they maintain their equipment perfectly. I bought it to convert. But business has taken me in a new direction so I have placed it in climate controlled storage until it sells. This printer is still setup in Dye Based/Water Based/Pigment Ink mode. It currently does not print, but does cut. It will need to have the heads recovered or replaced prior to use. The heads for this unit are cheap compared to the other Roland printers. There are only(2) and they cost around $240 each. It is my understanding that once the heads are cleaned or replaced this printer would print and cut indoor durable graphics. The machine draws the image on a piece of light sensitive film with a laser. The film is attached to the outer surface of a rotating drum and the laser moves step by step along the rotating drum. A supplied external universal power unit is used to supply required power(110-240V/ 24V) The photoplotter software allows you to read input files and to set output resolution and type of image(reverse. Mirror, etc. drawn on the film. When working with Gerber files, it is possible to check and modify used apertures(D-codes) and make simple film panelization for Gerber data and corresponding drill data. We tested it and found that it powers up, communicates with the control software on the PC and appears to plot the image- in that the laser operates, the drum spins and the stage moves along its screw, while the software counts down the amount plotted. However, as we have no photosensitive film or the means to develop it, we were unable to take testing to the final point of having finished film in our hands. Because of this, we're selling it as-is, officially for parts or not working, even though it passed all of the testing that we could perform. Almost impossible to find, a complete artillery plotter no 1 Mk 1, with all tables, and clear circles, special case with nice intact marking, straps, and even the little super rare manual calculator.
