The book is copyrighted 1964 by American Broadcasting-Paramount Theaters Inc. This is an original NOT a reprint. It is based on the television show of the same name in the 1960's. There are dolls of Penny. Karen, Wendy and Diane. An inset on the front cover contains a picture of an extremely young Jack Linkletter. The girls have six pages of clothing, ranging from a pink satin quilted robe to over-the-elbow gloves and fabulous furs. Rhinestones, pillbox hats, clutch purses and fitted garments all make these dolls very well dressed for fifty years ago. The book is in mint condition. It has never been cut out or played with. Pear Gourd Paper Mache Decoration 1998 Thanksgiving Folk Art Virginia Betourne?
Up for bidding is a Pear or Gourd Man paper mache decoration. We believe the piece to be made by Virginia Betourne of Trout Creek. However the writing on the bottom is very faded and hard to read. Most visibly is 1998 at the very bottom, I edited a picture to show the shadow of the writing so its a bit more legible however that's about the extent of my forensic limit. The pear/gourd man is in good shape with the exception that I dropped it the other day while measuring and almost broke the nose off as shown in the picture. I will pack it as well as I can to keep it safe but be aware a shaky shipment may break it off. Its hanging on very loosely. I'll do anything within my power to avoid breakage but its out of my hands on the way to you. It measures: 6 inches high. 3 inches across with a 10 inch circumference.
