The native american hopi pueblo rattle with mud paint and great patina on the handle. The handle is very smooth from use. The handle is about 11" long x 7/8" diameter at the bottom. The handle below the gourd is about 4 1/4" long. There is a 14" long buckskin that is attached to the bottom of the handle. The gourd is about 6 1/4" diameter x 3 1/2" sthick. The rattle came from a collection in one of the local pueblos. This would make a great addition to any collection.

This beautiful ornate antique Japanese jewelry box is likely to be from the Meiji and/or Victorian period. Wonderful geometric mosaic parquetry veneer on front and top. Front of doors has detailed inlaid brass birds and flowers. Ornate metal hinges and handles. Inside has black lacquered and hand painted doors and drawers. The back and sides are even hand painted. This is a very special piece with lots of attention to detail. Left door has drop latch into floor of box to help it from opening when moving it. Measures 11 1/2" by 8 1/2" by 4 1/2" Parquet lifting a little on top at star shape. Scratch on right top door. Missing hardware piece at top right door and nail missing for similar piece at bottom of door. Lacquer damage to left inside door near hinges and inside panel in same area. Minimal paint loss. We had the opportunity to recently purchase several vintage duck hunting decoys. Each example is hand carved and painted in a polychromatic pattern. Reflective of the species of bird its meant to immitate. The decoy has some slight wear to the surface. Though does not appear to ever have been used in the field. Hand carved in a typical two piece construction. You may be able to see a thin age line wear the head was fitted on the neck. Looks to have a reinforment peg on the back of the head running towards the bill. Again. These look to have been never used, and as such as in wonderful vintage condition. This listing is for a Black Americana figurine with two holes in the back used for utensils. She is painted with red. White and black paint and has her hands on her hips. She is is made of ceramic/pottery and I think she is cold painted but could be glazed. She is approximately ~10" x 6.5 in size. She has one small chip on one of the holes in back and may have been in the making as it is painted red otherwise no other chips or cracks but does have some small flecks of paint missing here and there. This figurine is a little dirty and needs cleaning which I will leave up to the new owner as I do not know how to safely clean cold paint.
