Rare Frazetta Death Dealer Paint by Number 1978
You are bidding on a rare Paint By Number Frazetta Death Dealer. The box is in good condition for his age with some wear on corners and tear on the top flap. 12" x 16" inches black velvet painting panel is in excellent condition. Twenty oil colors paint seem original. They are probably all dryed. The brush is missing but can be easily find at any artist store. It's that kind of cheap plastic brush. This set was made by Craft House in 1978. It's a great addition for all Frank Frazetta fans and collectors. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions.

Artist's wooden paint box was owned and well used by artist of note Gail Olsen of Millikin University faculty and Decatur. Illinois. Measuring approximately 15-5/8" X 12-3/4" X 4" The handled box is still is in structurally sound condition with no breaks. The metal parts have surface rust but are tight and fully functional. The inside is divided into five compartments. Paint dabs abound throughout the inside. Olsen graduated from Millikin University in Decatur. Illinois in 1938. He taught at MU for well over 20 years and died several years ago. Olsen's paintings are in increasing demand. He exhibited locally with artists Marvin Klaven and Rimas VisGirda. Pretty gourd stands fine and is almost 15 inches tall and over 27 inches around. This sturdy gourd offers very nice color and shine. And is well rounded three-fourths of the way around but does flatten out some on the back. One advantage of that feature is that the gourd will also sit sideways as shown in the next to last picture. Big sturdy kettle gourd sits great and is almost 12 inches tall and under 32 inches around. It's hard and nicely shaped. With a few minor marks but nothing too bad. Pretty CYPRESS WOOD CROSS SECTION: paint; stain; burn in designs?
Pretty cypress wood cross section is under 24 inches across at the widest place. And just under 2 inches thick. The bark is still attached in places, but overall more of the bark is off than on. Any cracks shouldn't grow as the wood has been cut/ dried for many years. Brighter colors than most, so with some sanding it might be a good piece for staining or pyrography. Also good for taxidermy mounts, and can make natural bases for art projects of many kinds. Make pretty table tops; cypress clocks; lamp bases; etc. Of course you can paint right on the wood, or cut into smaller sections for smaller projects. It has been pressure-washed but not sanded, which could improve the looks. Pictures show front and back; upright and flat. The last picture includes a pencil to give another good size reference.
