Up for sale is an antique WY0023 Fluxmeter No. 1 gauss meter. 3 ranges, with 2 meters, and is working- I wired up a D cell(the old large Burgess battery is long dead) and got needle movement on the panel meter, I couldn't get a reading on the hand held meter. In what I would call excellent condition, all bakelite in great shape with only very light wear and no cracks, chips or breaks(including by all screw holes) the purple cloth-covered cord cable to hand held meter is excellent and still very flexible, meter face and window also great(and serial no. on meter dial matches serial on box) About the only damage is to the white paint to dial face on hand held meter, some is flaking off. Carver Magnetic field receiver MXR 130 130+WPC-Working condition
This is a very nice Carver magnetic field receiver. It's served me well over the years but I just went to surround and have no more need for it. Rated at 130 watts per channel. It's capable of much more on peaks, giving incredible bass response with quality speakers. The balance control is either dirty or worn. Sometimes it takes a little adjusting to get both channels to work. I don't have the time or knowledge to take it apart. Other than that all controls LED meter, and ins/outs work. It's a 30+ year old amp so for that reason this is sold as-is. This is VERY heavy and rather expensive to ship. For that reason I'll only ship to the US only via FedEx ground. CARVER TFM-25 Magnetic Field Amplifier 225 watts per channel very clean
This auction is for a CARVER TFM-25 Magnetic Field Power Amplifier made in Japan. Compare Carver amps as they went through stages I found the ones made in Japan and US had much better solder quality than other countries. It packs 225 watts per channel at 8 ohms and even more at 4 ohms(for all you with Martin Logan speakers) It is bridgeable to over 400 watts in to one channel. However I used it with one channel connected to panels and one channel connected to woofer as bi-amp. As you see it is in very good shape considering age. It sounds perfect with no problems. It was part of a 7.1 channel setup where every channel was powered by a TFM-25. I have moved on to higher end equipment and sold a few of my Carvers and this is the last one. It was hardly used because it powered side channel. I gave it one last listen before disconnecting it. It ... morewill be packed carefully as if I was they buyer. I use to test Magnetic field sensors such as Flux gates and Hall sensors. I do not remember ever using this test fixture. In fact. I am almost sure that I never used it because the original bag of hardware is still taped to it. All it does is generates a magnetic field across the opening and it can be rotated 360 degree. That is it. You can apply a DC or AC driver to it for various kind of testing. I seem to remember that it could generate up to a 1/2 Tesla field within its gap. I do not know anything more. I can make assumptions related to another unit that I have and have used that would generate a 2 Tesla field. The physical size and the conductor size seem to be in line for 1/2 Tesla source. The thing is HEAVY for its size. Figures with that much Iron and copper. So. The shipping rate is adjusted accordingly. Oh. I have a Used carver PM-6 00 not working machine will not turn on in otherwise good Condition(cosmetically speaking) We were cleaning out the attic at work and I stumbled upon this. No one wanted it. So I decided to try to sell it to someone who might know how to fix it. Sorry, I have no idea what's wrong with it. All I know is when I plug it in and turn it on there are no signs of life. I hear this is a good piece of equipment if fixing these is your thing. Than this is for you. Carver MXR-150 Magnetic Field Power Amp / Receiver
Outstanding Carver MXR-150 power amp/receiver. Excellent overall condition with a couple exceptions. Observe the pic of the right rack handle and how the piece that goes around the bottom connection to the face plate is not there. The handle can move if you move it but not otherwise and no one will ever notice it unless you point it out. There are also some scratches on the right side that are pictured. There are a few very minor scratches here and there but that's about it for cosmetic imperfections as you can see from the pics. All the lights and functions work as they should and all pieces are original. Jumpers for the main in to pre out are included but not pictured. A. B, or A+B speaker options, FM muting, loudness contour, tone defeat, AM noise filter, and dual power output meters. 150 watts per channel of pure Carver awesomeness! ... moreThis is an older item so it is being sold as is but it is in perfect working order.
