Letterpress Wood Poster Type 10" Rare Letter' A' Exceptional Rare Decorative Typeface Excellent Condition Size: 10" x 8 1/8" Fantastic Beautiful Block Some years ago I came across a few wood letters in the Incredible Decorative Typeface and something that you don't find. I have been collecting wood type for about 20 years and I had never seen this design before. It is in Excellent Condition and looks as if it was only used once or twice. If you love this then you must realise that you probably won't see another for 20 years. This is certainly a Huge Old Wood Letter which is Excellent Condition when you consider that it is probably well over 50 years old. POSTAGE COSTS I will combine and REDUCE the Costs of postage for any buyer who purchases more than one item. Please Note: All the letters/numbers in this alphabet ... morehave been carefully clean to remove the dirt/dust(this includes some ink but not ink stains in the wood) and show the Patina to its best advantage. This auction is for a complete font of 10 line(1-2/3 inch tall) Antique Condensed vintage wood type for letterpress printing. Upper case, numbers& punctuation. Capital"A" letters have Hamilton Two Rivers, Wis. stamped on them. This is a Condensed Serif face. Font consists of a complete alphabet, complete set of figures and punctuation, ampersand, dollar signs. 130 total wooden type pieces included. Or Wild West face, like you might see on a wanted poster, with big, heavy serifs. This type is beautiful. With dark wood colors, and a great wabi-sabi patina from use. Each character measures 28 mm: 1.10 inch and those with descenders 1.26 inch(32 mm) We have removed some dust. But did no full cleaning.
