Vintage Jewelry or Pill Box - Bronze Floral With Enamel and Stones
A vintage bronze earring or pill box. Seems to actually be made of bronze. It is very small. At 1 3/8" square and just under 1/2 inch thick. The hinge and alignment are fine and the latch works fine too. The lid is decorated with an enameled metal flower and inset sapphire looking stones. I am sure they are not real, but they look real nice. The bronze shell looks to have been stamped in a floral pattern too. A real nice piece in very good condition.

Tested for Bakelite with Simichrome test and it's iffy- not entirely changed to brown, but if it is indeed from the 40s, it's probably later plastic. Anyway, this little flying friend is in relatively good condition- looks like a chemical melt on the tray and possibly some match burns- hard to say. Brush still in good shape but fingertip sized scuff or mar on the handle and an apparent mold spot where the brush attaches to the body of the loon. Measures about a 12" tall, 10 1/2" wide, and 7 3/4" deep. This piece is very Mad Men-ish- I could see it on an Eames era dresser. Or. It would look great in a lake house or cabin. This listing is for what looks and feels like a hand carved wooden head necklace that I found at an estate sale. It doesn't feel like metal or plastic. It looks like an African person's head. If it is wood it is a very hard wood and it is either dark in color or the head has been stained dark. The head is 2 1/4" tall not including the hoop in the top of the head to hold the cord that goes around the neck. The necklace is about 29" around. Or laying flat and pulled out straight it is 14 1/2" long. The cord has a little bit of stretch to it too. It would make a great addition to any black art jewelry collection. Good luck. This auction is for an awesome travel jewelry case. Not only is this a beautiful case it can hold so much and is a lot smaller and much more organized than most jewelry boxes or cases. These cases go from $ 29.00 to over $ 500.00. I tried to price out this case but I could not find an exact match. I priced a smaller case and a larger case. The smaller was $ 175.00 and the one just slightly larger than this one was $ 322.00. The only flaw is it is personalized, it has the name Ginny on the top as shown in one of the photos. Outside on that this is mint, never used. It still has the original tags on the outside of the box. I ran out of room to post all the pictures that I wanted to but I think there are enough to give you an idea of what you will be getting. It has a large tray that lifts out. They there is a smaller tray that lifts out. The ... moresmaller tray is also a little jewelry box by itself. It has a strap on the outside to hold it closed. That tray has a ring section that can hold like 8 rings, 2 earring cards that lift out incase you want to use them or have a larger area. It has 2 smaller sections that have cards in them, I guess to hold or cover jewelry, I'm not sure. There are 3 large bracelet holders that each have there own section and lift out for easy use. The large tray has 4 earring cards that lift out, a snap tight covered section(also where I put the key) ring section with 4 rows to hold lots of rings, and another long lift out card. The underneath side of the lid has a mirror and elastic section. These cases are awesome I wish I had come up with the idea. On the outside of the case there is a very faint impression going across the top near the right hand corner. Where something was set on top, there is no discoloration. SKU 9404 This lovely antique Victorian brooch pin is circa 1800's. The brooch is fashioned from 14k yellow gold and set with a polished. But still somewhat rough looking coral gem stone. Around the coral gem stone is seed pearls. The back is open and I suspect that originally in the 1800's, there was a piece of glass so that hair could be inserted. The brooch measures 1 1/8 x 6/8 inches. It weighs 6.9 grams. The brooch is in very good condition. The imperfections in the coral are original to the gem stone. The coral is a deep orange color. Moving towards red. There are no makers marks on this piece. Only some scratched on number on the back, which usually means it was insured.
