You are bidding on one Maico Audiometer MA-19- Hearing Tester. The unit is in working condition. I am not an expert in audiology or electronics. But I checked the unit over as best as I could. Powers up properly. All lights working. Tone volume and frequency adjustments functioning properly. Inside the main board is clean; all wiring is securely soldered. Appears to be in prefect working order. Unit came from the medical center in a factory- closed about ten years ago. Last calibration was 2003. Only imperfections I could see were a few minor cosmetic blemishes on the outer blue box and the power cord had a very minor nick in outer covering near the plug- not an issue. Nice Antique 1930 Teutonophone Carbon Microphone Hearing Aid w/Case
Teutonophone(later called Trutonophone because of anti-German sentiment) was established in New York city in 1929. This hearing aid was likely produced around 1930 or 1931. The carbon microphone is permanently attached to the top of the battery case. The battery case is 1⅞" wide x 1" thick x 3½" tall. The whole assembly is about 6½" tall. The microphone is 2" in diameter and ½" thick. The receiver was held in the ear by an ear hook that fits in a groove around the circumference of the receiver. You change the volume by screwing the front of the receiver a bit to the left or right. The hearing aid could be left in the case with the mic showing though the hole at the front and used this way.
