Vintage mid-century retro NOS Chic hearing aid in orig. box 4 transistor Japan
A neat old. Probably 1950's or maybe early 1960's, transister pocket type hearing aid in its original hard shell case and also the original cardboard outer box, which is a bit worn. It is a brand I couldn't find any examples of so might be kind of scarce. It is a Chic 4 transistor made in Japan by Conny Industrial Co. Doesn't look like it has ever been used or even out of box. It is still in it's original little inner plastic bag or sleeve. The controls and earplug wire plug in socket is on the top of the case. Inside of hearing aid looks like new as well. The paper labels for the two UM-3A batteries show Maxell batteries and it has the two original Maxell batteries in the case that don't look like they were ever used either but they look like they have leaked or gone bad over the years obviously. There is darkness ... morein areas on the batteries but didn't leak onto the satin lining of box or discolor anything. The label inside the lid says it is Type TR-6 series 201272. Has the cord and ear plug which also look unused. However, there is one extra accesory, what looks like an extra soft rubber ear insert, that the rubber has deteriorated and hardened and misshapen over the years. Has the original little instruction sheet and there is a little plastic bag of clear little spaghetti like plastic things that I have no idea what they are for. Maybe they don't even go with the set but were in the box so will include them. There is a little bit of the instruction booklet that got stuck to the top lining of the lid. Finally, this hearing aid is being sold as a collectible item only, not for medical reasons. It is for display purposes so do not bid with the idea of actually using it. This is a reconditioned Electone Hearing aid. It looks and work like a new hearing aid. It has a maximum gain of 50 decibels and output of 126 spl(sound pressure) Has a SPL adjustment and frequency adjustment. These adjsuments can be set by the user with a small screwdriver. This will work for a moderate to severe loss. It also has a telephone coil and t-coil switch. This aid is not digital. It has a"Push-Pull" or class B amplifier and takes a size 675 battery. The telecoil is strong on this aid. It will work well with the telephone on a hearing loop(induction loop) I can also send it with an ear hook so it will work with an ear mold.
