He called it a Banjo. This is adjustable for 90 degree bends. It says Lew Fittings Co Chi on one side. It has 1/2" on one side. On the other there is#227A. And Patent number 2881084. It also says SUB.5 in for 90 degrees. Attached 3 foot long steel pipe is included. I didn't try using this as I don't know how, so it is offered in as it is. Very heavy. High quality iron or steel. This auction is for a Vintage Percolator Copper Brass Platter Tea Set By Universal and American Electrical Heater Co. I have no idea of its age. However it is very heavy which leads me to think its rather old. As you can see by the pictures it does have some signs of age with tarnish appearing in various spots. The nozzle on the percolator has broken off on the inside and will need to be reattached by either glue or welding. I did clean it prior to listening but a good cleaner for metals like Bar Keepers Friend would really sharpen it up. It consist of the electric percolator. Instruction booklet has some wear and tear and tape holding the seam together. Great patina on green wood container and leather strap. Overall in good condition for the age. Faceplate is missing 3 of the 4 screws but those could easily be replaced. I have not tested it to determine if it is in working condition. This piece would make a great addition to your industrial decor. Or with a little refurbishment you could put to work for its original intended use.

Turnout Lewis son of car producer and wagon maker William Lewis, worked in the same building that Dr. Snoop.famed maker of Snoop' s Restorative Tonic. The plaque states Racin, Wis. His company made radios and he decided to try and get in on the medical market like Snoop had and this was his invention. This item states Pat. Pending so it is on the early side of his manufacturing. He started making them in 1923 and his product was outlawed in 1930 by the Federal Goverment! CHECK out on the web electrotherapy museum and Journal times is where I got my info. They give tours to that historic building today. An interesting quack medical device. Still in use by some groups of folks even today. This is a Violet Wand, manufactured by Western Coil& Electrical Co. The wand, itself, measures 7 3/4 inches long. This device comes in its original leatherette covered wooden case. This is fresh to the market, as I recently acquired this from the garage of a local engineer. It doesn't have any of the glass tubes that fit in it(you can find them here on eBay) but I tested it, and it is in working condition. One photo shows the metal end to one of the tubes that was originally used with this item. It is marked Patents Pending, which indicates this is an early item. The leatherette has separated on the back along the lid joint(shown) but overall this neat gizmo is in Very Good condition, and ready for use(once you have the bulb that goes in it) USA ... moresales only.
