Measuring 12" across. Basket is 4" deep and from the bottom of the basket to the top of handle measures10" It is in good condition for its age, has not been polished in awhile. Up for bid is an antique James Dixon& Son Sheffield(silver plate) basket with handle. The basket is footed. Reticulated and engraved. The basket measures 12& 3/16" in length, 8& 13/16" wide and 2& 3/8" in height not including the handle. The bottom has the Dixon plaque at one end and touch marks at the other. The top of the handle is monogrammed F P R 1860. The bottom inside shows some wear and scratches but I think it can be buffed up somewhat. Still very elegant and presentable. The handle is carved florals as is the footed base. This has seen many posh affairs as well as being photographed at the Governos Mansion 40 years ago for a state cookbook. Roger Bros Tripleplate. It measures approx. 10 1/4" across and 5 1/2" high(10" high with the handles. It is in shabby chic condition with plate loss and scratches from loving use over the last 130 years or so. The bowl is engraved with a bird on a plant about to eat an insect. Rogers Brothers Silver dates back to the early 19th century. In 1847. The company became a household name when it perfected a process for electroplating silver. The Meriden Britannia Company bought Rogers Brothers Silver in 1862. Meriden, in turn, became the International Silver Company. So this piece dates between 1847 and 1862. Up for auction is this large antique Art Nouveau silverplated Brides Basket. This is being sold as found. We have not cleaned or polished it, there is copper showing through and considerable tarnish- very shabby chic. Basket is extremely ornate and beautifully made, with a border of deep repousse flowers and leaves on a ruffled scalloped edge. The inside has an engraved pattern along the bottom within a raised scalloped flower design. The handle is very securely attached and features an openwork design; it is engraved in the center- Rachel M. Campbell. The handle swivels up and down. The only mark that we could find is on the very bottom- incised- in the center and is just about impossible to read could be a P, R, B or even an A- we just cannot tell. Antique Van Bergh Silver Plate Cake Brides Basket C.1900 For your consideration is this antique silver plate cake brides basket made by Van Bergh Silver Plate Co. Circa 1900. Stands 9 1/4" tall to the top of the finial and measures 8 1/2" in diameter.the base is 4 1/2" in diameter. The top surface features both a shiny and burnished(non shiny) finish, very common in Victorian silver plate. The underside of the basket is shiny and the pedestal base is burnished. There is light silver loss present on the underside, but the burnished base is worn or it needs a bit more polishing. The basket has a slight tilt, 2 shallow pinpoint dings on the top surface and a dent on the top edge which doesn't show too much, see last picture. Derby Silver Company, silver plated, Dutch Revival, Basket. This antique piece measures 14 inches high, 10 inches long and 7.50 inches wide at the top x 6.25 inches long by 4.75 at the base. The basket has a deep repousse. Dutch, motif which became popular in the mid 1800’s through the 1920’s. The basket is divided into 6 sections. Each section is designed with a couple in period garb, kissing by a fireplace as the family dog looks on. Above this scene is a medallion ornately framed with large, Acanthus, leaves. Up for your consideration is a stunning Blue Ruffled Satin Glass Brides Basket with a center post base. The satin glass bowl is a gorgeous light blue with ruffled edges. As the glass curves towards the center of the bowl. There is a beautiful iridescent pink gradient tone to the glass. The bowl has no chips, scratches or cracks. The brass toned base has E.P.N.S. stamped into it. The nut that secures the bolt holding the bowl to the base is gone. But the bolt is steady enough to display safely. It shouldn't be hard to find a bolt to fit at any hardware store. The bowl with the base measures 5 1/2" tall. The bowl alone measures about 9" from side to side. And is about 2 1/2" deep. Antique Vintage Crib or Youth Flower Basket Quilt from Western North Carolina NR
This is an exceptionally nice crib or youth quilt 48 x 58 inches in size. It was purchased by us at a farm estate liquidation sale about 35 years ago near Hickory. N. C. Each quadrant of the quilt, front and back is shown in photos 2 through 9. Hand stitched and comprised of fabrics that appear to be from the early 1900's and maybe feed or flour sacks.This quilt retains part of the velcro hanging system that was installed by us as well as some small weights to keep it hanging straight. They could be used to hang it again or easily removed to use it as a throw or on a bed. The background, or field, is a beige or tan fabric, not white. There are a few stains that were present when we purchased it. This has been in a smoke free, climate controlled environment both in North Carolina and now in Florida.
