Antique Galleon Wooden Sailing Ship Wreak In Need of TLC
Made in Germany This ship has been through the storms of life. I have wanted to restore it but honestly never knew where to start. So I have come to a point in life to let it go and hope that YOU might see the potential in it that I have. I believe that at one time it was a beautiful ship and stood proud on someone's mantel or desk. It weights approximately 8.5 pounds and Measures Approximately 27 inches long and about 8.5 inches high. The widest part is about 3.5 inches across. This is not including the mast. There are 3 crows nest, 6 sails, and 2 lead anchors. Only one cannon remains and part of another one. The front of the ship appears to have a unicorn on it but it is missing it's horn. This is an 1820s-1830s era American-made wooden works clock movement from a short-drop clock. The dial comes from another clock of the same model and fits with the movement. The pendulum. Key, and chord are modern replacements. When set up on a bench, it runs pretty well. The strike side does not cock properly, but runs and counts well. It must be missing a pin somewhere. Bad bushings have already been replaced. All teeth are intact, but some are replacements or partially chipped.

For Auction is a nice wooden center drawer from an antique Singer treadle unit. The drawer was from a desk that used to house an antique Singer Red Eye from 1912. This drawer is in very good condition. Nice oak wood with good color. The drawer measures 21" across at its widest point. Keep in mind there is a'lip' protruding from the right hand side of the face of the drawer. See picture#2 for detail. Please study the pictures carefully as they represent the condition of this unit well. The left hand rail has a slide groove- the right hand rail does not. Alas.the key is nowhere to be found. Antique Fancy Wooden Framed Beveled Mirror wall mirror # as/1300
Beautiful antique Wooden Framed Beveled Mirror. This is a nice(heavy) mirror. The piece is in pretty good shape. But there are a few issues; some of the veneer on the front right& left bottom corners is chipped(see pictures) The mirror is secured. But feels a little loose and has a hidden crack under the frame at the top right(cant see i t while on display) The m irro r itself is a little scratched looking if you look close and may need to be replaced i f that kind of thing bothers you. Also. I noticed some varnish drips, not sure the story there. Maybe someone tried to put a coat on at one time, again. From a distance(on display) you can not tell. It really is a pretty mirror. There are little screw holes on the side where you can attach this to a dresser. N o hook on the back. But one can easily be put onto this mirro r. It measures ... more26" long and 18.5" tall. All valves are working. There are small dents and scratches on it. It comes with mouthpiece and original wooden case. Case has signs of wear with a tear on the top. See pictures. ANTIQUE DANIEL PRATT READING MASS. WEIGHT DRIVEN EGLOMISÉ BOTTOM TABLET ~ TALL COLUMNED CLOCK! Gorgeous estate collection clock. 1835-58 period of Daniel Pratt clock manufacture in Reading. Mass. Federal style columned shelf clock with wooden works.Pratt was known for his economical"groaner works" 30 hour clocks which he provided to rural families as a marvelous alternative to telling the time by the sun. This clock has had some refurbishing.we note some fresh wood mounts for the dial.the hand made wood dial appears to be of the period but adjusted to accomodate the current movement arbors. Whether the dial is original or the movement is original, or both we do not know. The movement has fresh wood shims, so although old and an original Pratt, it may indicate replacement or at the least remounting. The exterior of the case ... moreshows the original finish, including the black columns with gold embellishment. We do have some veneer loss as you can see in our posted photos(front bottom left corner as viewed) We will provide you with a piece of wood from the era that will allow for some veneer to be cut from it and replace the existing loss. General age with some scratching here adn there is noted. Top of the case shows the traditional Pratt bell assembly, however, the bell is missing. Inside we note several mounting holes which may or may not have been used for wall mounting. The eglomise' or reverse painted glass tablet is in beautiful condition and although we see no evidence of change out, we do not know if it is original to the clock. Top pane dial cover glass appears to be in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Doors open and close well.stays closed with a good closing clasp. Dial has clear numbers and beautiful original hands in place.minor age yellowing noted as well as general usage noted.nothing major or that truly detracts other than the aforesaid plugs to the arbors. It appears to have the original finish or glaze. This auction also includes the original box lid with all the instructions. Approximate Measurements The mallets measures 18 1/4" long overall. The mallet head is 2 1/4" long and has a 1" diameter. The balls have a 1 1/4" diameter. The wickets are 3 1/2" wide and 3 1/2" tall. Markings Too many to mention. All on the box lid. Set of 4 Antique 2' Hat Stands - Wood Department Store Display Millinery Wooden
A gorgeous set of four 24" matching hat stands. These were in a department store in Minnesota. The previous owners procured them at least 40 years ago when the store closed. But they couldn't recall any additional information. They were from a rural town outside of Minneapolis. These are in very nice condition with no splits. Dents or repairs. The only real flaw is that they had been bundled together with masking tape leaving light residue near the top of the stems, see photo 6. This did not remove any of the finish and the remaining residue would likely come clean with a very light sanding using high grit sandpaper(a suggestion, not a recommendation) This lot includes seven extra caps shown in photos 4& 5.
