Scott Fly rod 3 Wt, 6'10", 3 Piece G703/3MMT
Harry Murray of Edinburgh. VA has worked with Scott for many years to fashion rods that suit the needs of certain fishing situations. This rod is designated as the MMT(Murray's Mountain Trout) for fishing in small streams with lots of cover. It is superb at this function. Casts wonderfully with only a couple of feet of line beyond the tip. If all I am going to do is make 10 to 15 foot casts, I use a WF4 line, for longer casts a DT3 is perfect. If you fish the kind of streams it was designed for, you will love this rod. It is my second rod of this model and it just doesn't get much use. It is essentially a new rod.

VINTAGE BAMBOO FLY ROD - 8'6" 3/1 + ALUMINUM TUBE & SOCK - NICE TAKE A LOOK
Up for bids is a beautiful vintage 8'6" 3/1 bamboo fly rod. Rod maker unknown- no ID present upon examination. It is super straight with a superb finish and appears that all parts are original. Most likely redone- but do not know rod's history. It has the old rattan grip and unusual tip which may indicate from the 1930s? My knowledge on these is limited so if you have any input it would be appreciated. I try and describe to the best of my ability. Pictures are hopefully the most informative for you- and my best ally for describing the rod- please view carefully. All the guides and wraps are present. Tight and without flaws. Ferrules fit well and have the distinct pop when separated. Hook keeper also present. This listing is for a Pentax mount Sigma APO 170-500mm f/5.0-6.3 camera lens. This lens is a lot of fun and is great for nature enthusiasts. Shown are 3 sample photos. 2 taken at 500mm(goose, elaphant) and 1 taken at 170mm(park scene) I shot these using this lens. I have had this lens for about a year and have gotten my enjoyment out of it. Cosmetically this lens is a 9 out of 10, maybe even 9.5 out of 10, there is minimal signs of use, mostly just some very slight fading on the the lettering as seen in the photos. Optically the lens is also a 9 out of 10, it takes nice photos as seen in the samples and pairs well with a K5 or or a K-x, as well as other Pentax bodies. The auto focus works well and does not hunt much. There is a very minimal amount of dust in the front element, this does not in any way affect image quality, it has been there ... moresince I purchased it. The lens mounts well to camera bodies, weight-wise it is best used with a monopod. It is possible to take hand held photos with this lens, generally shots taken above 1/800th or faster are easily taken hand held, shots slower then this work best with the monopod. I purchased a new Sigma lens hood for this lens(also included) about 6 months ago as well. Includes both the Sigma lens cap and a generic snap lens cap. Lens features a tripod collar to securely hold lens to a tripod or monopod. Lens does not creep like one typically would see on a zoom of this size. Here we have a huge bean pot made by Ecanada Art Pottery of Canada. This is a stunning piece. It is of a vibrant red-orange flame glaze, and has two handles and a covered lid. Measures approx. 7" tall with the lid(just under 5 1/2" without) and has a 6 3/4" diameter opening. Approx. 10 1/4" across from handle to handle. It is in excellent gently pre-owned condition. Free of any chips, nicks or cracks from what I can see. There is some crazing present. Which is common to happen to older pieces of pottery. There are also some deeper scratches or utensil marks present on the bottom inside of the pot, which is to be expected from use. The lid is in excellent condition. This piece has a red clay base.
