I have used this lens for the last few years without any major problem. The lens is in great shape. Without any scratches. There has been a lens filter on it since the day I got it new out of the box. The only issue is the lens lock. It doesn't work very well and the lens will extend pretty easily. This may be able to be fixed, but I'm not sure. This is a really nice"walking lens" meaning you have a very wide zoom range and will not have to change lenses very often. I got this originally for a trip to Disney in order to save me time and it did a great job. Sometimes low light photos wouldn't turn out the best.
