It comes complete in retail box with all original materials/contents. This particular unit has had the two most-used controls. Master Volume and Phones Volume, replaced with high-end Bourns audiophile potentiometers because the old ones had worn out and started crackling at certain positions. The new ones are absolutely smooth and sweet through the entire range. The output from the Main Outs and Phone Out are both nice and loud. It works perfectly with plug and play on all Macs running Mac OS X. It also works with Windows. But I wouldn't recommend doing this, since you will have to find exactly the right driver to make it work properly depending ... moreon your version of Windows and whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit. If you get the wrong driver, it will introduce crackles and pops and extra latency(on all AudioBox USBs, not just this one) Luckily, uninstalling the bad Windows driver to try a different one is straightforward and doesn't require any magic. You merely have to find the right driver. Usually the built-in Windows 32-bit drivers work perfectly plug-and-play, sometimes you have to download the official Presonus driver, especially for 64-bit. But on Macs. This AudioBox USB worked perfectly all the time every time. No extra latency, no crackles, no pops. This is a great way to build an affordable portable recording setup.
