Weber D-10 speaker. In excellent condition. In perfect working order. 8 Ohms. 25 Watts. From the Weber website, Weber's DT-10 speaker provides warm smooth tone with good bottom end. The 20oz magnet helps keep the speaker somewhat inefficient. So you can drive your amp into overdrive more easily than with a more efficient speaker. ROCK Amps Amplifier (Petros I) - 70's Vintage w.10" Speaker w/Reverb Untested
This is a vintage Rock Amps guitar amplifier manufactured probably sometime in the 70's. Not much material is available on line however most of the comments I have found regarding this particular amplifier have been stellar. This amp has reverb whereas some of the earlier ones do not. On the back of the amplifier itself is the markings Petros I. The front of the amp indicates it is from Sacramento but the amp is from Pomona. CA. I don't play guitar but recognize a gem when I see one. I did not clean this one up but I know that with about a days work, it will turn out very nicely. the corner protectors are screwed in and simply need to be removed and polished with some Mother's Mag wheel polish or similar. The case itself needs some cleaning and polishing. The front fabric on the amp is faded and a little worn. I haven't changed ... moreanything so that whomever restores it will know what to purchase to match the original materials. The amp can be powered either thru AC power or via D-cell batteries. The battery holders are a little rusted and just slightly corroded on the ends. A little steel brush or steel wool should take care of that. I have a friend who has a guitar that I can bring this to and he could power it on and try it but I don't know if there is a chance of damaging the amp without looking over it first. From what I can tell, the amp is a"Super Mini Rock" I am starting the listing at a low starting price as I don't know the actual playable condition of the amp. If you are local, you may pick up the amp for free to avoid shipping charges but it will be cash on pickup. Shipping will be via UPS ground. The V140 tube monoblock amps were impressive amps when Audio Research launched them back in the Nineties. It retained back its Triode operation but with a newer fully balanced input stage that made the amps incredibly quiet. Capable of using KT-90. KT-88 and 6550 tubes, they were a tube rollers delight. Both amps have been fitted with brand new Electro Harmonix 6550 tubes($800 value) With the 6550 tubes, it shares the same warmth as the KT-90 tubes but has a less aggressive bottom end. Highs were nicely detailed and balanced with the right amount of pitch. But its the warmth and the lush mid-range that steals your hearts away. Vocals were incredibly holographic and imagery was full bodied with a"life like" presence. Amps do run hot but the fan We have the original box and manual.
