Up for auction is this Thomas-Betts cable tie clamping tool. I purchased the inventory and equipment from a former electrical company at auction and I am selling the items not needed. This tool has a label on it for the catalog# ERG299 and says"made in sweden" It has tension settings of 1-3 for miniature ties with 18lbs of tension. 3-5 intermediate with 40lbs of tension, and 6-8 standard with 50lbs of tension. This is a use tool but I have tries it and it works ok, pulling and then cutting a cable tie. This is a SAHT(Straight Action Hand Tool) Which means that the crimp dies close in a parallel or straight way, which produces superior crimps when compared to ratcheting crimpers that don't close in a straight fashion. It's pretty rare to come across an open barrel crimp tool that will crimp contacts in the 32 AWG size. So if you need to crimp really small open barrel contacts, give this one a hard look.
