Paragon Geological Survey Alidade. Model 5093A, made by Keuffel& Esser Co. New York and Hoboken, 1952. Also known as a high-post alidade. Standardized instrument for use by the U.S. Geological Survey. The alidade was for use in plane table work. Comes with wooden case high(with striding level attached) sand color military paint finish. Original wood case(18” long x 5.5”x 8.5 wide) with hinged lid: manufacturer’s printed metal plate inside lid plus a printed paper label. Alidade is near mint except for cracked bubble on striding level. However I checked the spare bubble and it is good(I'll leave it to the new owner to replace) Comes complete with all accessories, sunshade; separate striding level; screwdriver; two spare bubbles[replacement level vials] Serial number, 119908, and manufacturer’s name engraved on blade at front end. Note: Spare Bubbles” marked with plate on wood block secured to case bottom below striding level storage slot. Each bubble is marked with its replacement part number.

Vintage 1920-40 Keuffel Esser Drafting Architect Table Solid Oak With Birch? Top Here we have a very nice vintage 1920-40's era Keuffel Esser drafting architects table in solid oak with I presume a birch top board. The table measures 70.5" wide. By 36.5" deep, and stands 38" tall, though it can be lowered about 3" by removing the original oak blocks that fit into the bottom of each leg if desired. The table was made by Keuffel& Esser and is so labeled with their brass tag. There are also a number of other tags and decals applied, as this was used at Wright Patterson Air Force Base during or just prior to WWII. There are two drawers at top one wide and one smaller, as well as an oak Keuffel Esser four drawer file to the right side that is just mounted with a few screws. The table breaks down easily, and the parts ... moreare assembled with large nuts and bolts. The condition is excellent considering it's age and use, and save for minor blemishes to top and some ink stains, etc. to drawer it's ready to use. Of course if you want a perfect finish that would be up to you to do. I like things with some honest age and patina. Anemometer Wind Speed Meter Keuffel & Esser Company
This neat Anemometer stands on a solid base and has a top ring for carrying it. It was made by the Keuffel& Esser Company New York. It s purpose is to measure wind speed or velocity. It stands 4 3/4 inches tall and appears clean.The fins seem to all be in excellent condition and they turn freely. The meter face glass is undamaged. The outside scale on the meter goes from 0-100 and then there are 3 small scales also on the face. The top one is marked to measure in 100ths. The bottom left meter is marked 10,000ths and the right lower meter is marked 1000ths. It measures in feet as marked on the face. There is an in and an out switch at the top. I am not familiar with these but it appears to be in excellent condition. Being sold as is but no apparent damage.Fine example. Buyer pays $5.80 S&H in USA.

Papers and clip strap are in fine condition. The original box has some wear, soiling, and an old price in magic marker on front. The slide rule measures 12-1/2 inches long by 2 inches wide. Up for auction are 2 K& E Slide rules 10in and a 5 in. In Great Condition. They are in there original leather cases and boxes. I think they are from the 30's. The 10in. rule has the glass slider and the sides where you hold it to slide it. Has some white chips off of it otherwise excellent. Engravings are in great condition, nothing seems to be faded.

However the glass looks to be in good condition. When you look through the eyepiece you can see what the transit is aimed at however I can not figure out how to focus the device to see clearly. The texture coating on the transit has worn off in many areas. This is a pair of vintage Keuffel and Esser slide rules for beginners. Both rules almost 100 years old. One is loose and has no box but may be older since the sides of the slide are wooden. See the photos. The other rule comes in the original case with original instructions. The loose rule has no date. The cased one has a pat. date of May.2 1916. Almost flawless like new Antique K&E50 ft. metallic Dartmouth Tape measure. Like new in box with calibration instructions. this is a beautiful leather bound metallic fiber 50 ft. measure with 1/2" marks. The patent says Dec. 16. 13 which I think is 1913. Serial# is 7442t. no marks or sign of wear or damage. The back of the tape where the metal hook is has a slight black streak and there are some minor circular swirl marks where the crank is. This tape is in near new near mint condition. I have a crazy theory that since models of these tapes are named after ivy league schools they may have been used to measure track and field events. This is the last transit from my Dad's original collection of 10. He kept this one until the end. I suspect this was his favorite. The case is beautiful and the transit appears in exceptional condition. The tag on it identifies it and the price of $965 is in his handwriting. not sure if that's what he paid. This is the 42nd hardback edition of the Keuffel& Esser Co. Catalog. The company specializes in Drafting.Reproduction and Survey Equipment& Materials, Slide rules, Measuring Tapes and various other tools. The book is in great vintage condition.the binding is as tight as new and there are no creases or rips in any of the 475 pages. There are a couple of very light stray pencil marks on the outside top- right edge of the pages. But I believe these could very easily be erased. See pictures) The only other damage that I was able to find are the small. Slightly worn spots on the top and bottom edges of the spine(see pictures) Also on the front cover there are 2 long black marks that look as if something hot had been set on it that scorched it a bit. There are 3 black spots on the front part of the spine that are similar to the ones on ... morethe cover. See pictures) I feel that the damage is very slight considering that the book is 60 years old! It came directly out of local factory that was closing it's doors after over 50 years. Anyone who is fascinated by steam punk(or vintage collectors of any kind) will really enjoy this beautiful book. Full of beautiful lithograph pictures on almost every page. This K& E Co. Catalog will make a fantastic reference and research guide for pickers& collectors trying to identify unfamiliar old tools! VINTAGE LETTERING SET IN ORIGINAL BLOND WOOD BOX-MIXED KEUFFEL & ESSER, TAMAYA
Up for auction is a vintage lettering set in it's original blonde wood dove tailed box. The box and some of the contents are made by TAMAYA. Other things including most of the rulers are made by K E KEUFFEL& ESSER. The K E LEROY Keuffel& Esser rules have PAT No. 2.050,057, dating it between 1936-1937. Some of these look possibly warped and one of the TAMAYA rulers has what looks to be a burn mark. It looks to be a complete if unmatched lettering set with some extra contents. I took everything out of the box except for the points. So please take a look at the photos. Please look carefully at the photos as they are part of the description and your best judge of condition. Here is a Keuffel& Esser lead pointer. The box reads K+E 58 0515 OLD N3515 TRU-POINT VARIABLE TAPER PENCIL LEAD POINTER MADE IN U.S.A. on the side. The top reads that this can be used to sharpen Leroy Leads Draftsmen's leads in mechanical pencils nad wood pencil leads. This is a metal sharpener. This includes the sharpener. Box and instruction sheet. The instruction sheet contains information on how to sharpen each type of lead and how to replace the abrasive cups. This appeared to have had a lot of use. I am not sure what condition the abrasive cup is in; it may need replaced. The sharpener has some brown paint or something along the bottom edge. There is a tear in the rubber pad on the bottom. It has some scratches and wear. The instruction sheet has lead shavings/staining on it. It is bent at the corners. The box has a lot of wear ... moreand discoloring. Condition: In very good working and good cosmetic condition. No obvious damage or broken pieces. Good clear optics and vernier scales are clean and crisp. Compass works freely and all bubble levels work. All glass in excellent condition. The Transit shows some mild wear from age and use. Of which the most obvious are: the telescope Tube has some paint finish loss(a rub) in one spot. Some minor paint chipping on the sharp edges, from normal usage. Wooden box is intact and shows wear and weather especially on the outside of box. Leather strap is intact; there is no key for the lock. There is a sun shade but no plum bob. There is absolutely no oxidation ... moreor rust on this instrument. It has been well cared for and maintained over the years. The Carrying Case(Box) measures 16 1/2" x 13" x 8 1/2" This is a Quality precision Optical Instrument and is very suitable for use as well as for a Display piece.
