It also needs oil as the"o" and the"k" keys stick down when you press them. You can manually pull them back up and use them again. Other than that though all the other buttons have been tested and work great. All the functions work. Cosmetically it is in good condition with only light wear. A nice collectable portable typewriter. Closed up in its carrying case it measures about 17 x 6 1/2 x 13 1/2 inches and weighs 27 pounds. Check out the other antiques and collectibles. This is a used yet working typewriter I purchased from a daycare that went out ... moreof business. It is an IBM Wheelwriter 10 series II. It has the ribbon that works. But not sure for how long. Keys may eventually need a good cleaning, as the typewriter itself. I cleaned it some, but there is something I believe that is old tape across the top, as seen in pictures. There is spell check on and off button. There is an indicator light panel. Has a page indicator and scale. Has typematic repeat keys. Also has keyboard height adjustment levers. Comes with the original cover that has marks and stains on it as seen in photo, but still does the trick covering it. I don't have the instructions. But you can print it off the internet by searching the name and model. There is some wear and scratches. But all in all it's a nice typewriter, and with TLC it will last for a long time. German Field Typewriter GI Liberated From Hitlers Bunker 1945 - Erika Model 5
The uncle of a very good friend of mine liberated many items from Hitler's bunker in Germany. 1945. Over the years all of the good stuff was sold off. Recently the family home was sold and this last item was found hidden away in the attic where all of the souveniers were once stored. Of course there is no documentation to prove where this came from but the family has no doubt. It is a Seidel& Naumann Erika model 5 German field typewriter. The label to the far left says Hermann Braun, Stuttgart. The serial number is 110056 which I believe puts it around'28 or'29. It has not been touched since being stored away 68 years ago. Not even wiped down or dusted, I wouldn't let them clean it! The case is a little rough, the handle is missing. The typewriter looks almost as new. Since it is a field typewriter I doubt Traudl Junge ... morewas typing Hitler's memos on this one but I wish it could talk and tell us past history. Vintage Corona "Silent" Portable Typewriter - Rare MAROON color - Looks Great!
Here you have a vintage Corona"Silent" model portable manual typewriter with its original case. Beautiful maroon color with gold lettering and glass keys. I have no idea how old this is. Notice it just says"Corona" on top. And"L.C. Smith and Corona" on the front edge— not the usual"Smith-Corona" name. Very good condition overall. There's a small ding where the folding carriage-return lever has hit the left edge of the lid. But no other scraps, dents, rust, or other damage. Some of the keys stick, and the carriage is a bit sluggish when you type or hit the space bar, so if you plan to actually type on this, it needs cleaning and lubricating. Everything internally seems to work, so nothing is broken inside, as far as I can tell; I think it just needs a good cleaning and maybe some fine-tuning. Obviously ... moreit needs a new ribbon, but I think you can find them on eBay easy enough, right? But if just want to display it because it looks so cool. You don't have to do a thing but buy it. Comes with the original case. Not sure what happened to the handle; maybe some critter nibbled on it. But some of the leather is missing, as you can see in the last photo. Otherwise the wood case is in good shape. Nice and solid. The latches, hinges, and typewriter catches(which hold it in the case) work fine. Brother ML 300 Digital Display Typewriter NL1
Up for auction is a used ML 300 that is in good physical condition. There are a couple scratches and scuff marks on the casing. But it is otherwise undamaged. For more information on the cosmetic condition please refer to the pictures below. We plugged this typewriter in and flipped the switch. We could easily start typing all the way across the roller(see picture below) The ribbon dose work. But we don't know how new it is. We feel that this typewriter is in working order.
