This is a antique Remington Portable model 5 typewriter. It is in nice condition for it's age. It has a very shiny finish with minimal scratches. All keys move freely without getting stuck. Carriage still moves nicely with the space bar and carriage release lever. It needs a new ribbon. So I can not comment on the type. It could use a servicing. Inside has a lot of dust collected. I feel with a good cleaning and new oil, it should work smoothly and be a very nice piece for a collector. It is being sold as is. Because it needs a ribbon, and type can't be tested. Still has the cover. But is missing the handle. I am not sure if the clasp works, because I am not sure how the box goes together. Typewriter will be wrapped with care. Very cool looking vintage Royal Safari all metal manual typewriter in its carrying/storage case. Its a deep orange with white highlights. The typewriter has features like Magic Margin. Line spacing and touch control(from light to heavy pressure) It types easily and has that classic old fashioned typewriter sound. The ribbon is a little faded but otherwise fine and the keys don't stick and the carriage moves back and forth well. It doesn't have any rust or corrosion either. The case closes well but note that it does have a few cracks in it, both top and bottom. The cracks don't affect the typewriter at all and the case still protects the typewriter. Circa 1950. Royal was one of the longest-lived typewriter manufacturers. The Royal Quiet Deluxe model varied throughout at least the 1940s and 1950s. This style is from the early 1950s. My serial number is AG 2239470. Which places it around 1950. I distinguish this version from the others by the fancy chrome work around the touch and color selector levers on the front of the typewriter. The Royal Deluxe was noted as being a solid working machine and an earlier version was the favorite portable typewriter of Ernst Hemingway. It is praised at Chris Orcutt. Antique 1910's Hammond Multiplex Typewriter New York
Turn of the 20th century Hammond Multiplex typewriter. This typewriter manufacturer designed these machines so other languages(tongues. As they put it on the medallion attached) scientific nomenclature, business type, etc. could be typed per need of the international customer. This machine dates to 1900-1910, serial number 147857. Qwerty keyboard on this example. The machine is complete as near as I can determine. A portion of the keys work, but I believe the rest are stuck due to dust, dirt, dried up lubrication. This machine will need a cleaning and lubrication by a professional. Rear roller is cracked from age,but functions. The veneer on the plywood platform machine is attached to, is delaminating and cracking. Wooden cover is included. It is in good to fair condition. Antique Vintage REMINGTON Model 12 Manual Typewriter Ivory Keys
No Reserve! This is a nice old Remington 12 manual typewriter. It measures 15" wide. 14-1/2" deep and stands 11" tall. It could most definitely use a cleaning. The keys are quite sticky. Although it does show some rust and wear, everything else seems to move pretty smoothly. In the mid-20th century the average office typewriter was big and heavy. There is no way you would ever consider taking one on an airliner as hand luggage. But the Smith Corona Skyriter was compact and light enough to do that. This is a no reserve auction for a Smith Corona Skyriter portable typewriter from the mid 20th century. I had no idea this typewriter might be either historic or collectible until I was watching TV one night and saw the actor Tom Hanks was being interviewed by either David Letterman or Jay Leno and when asked about his unusual hobby of collecting old typewriters got excited explaining how he had a Smith Corona Skyriter typewriter which was the first specifically designed to be compact and light enough to fit on the fold down trays on airliners. This was all news to me. I just got this out of the closet and checked all ... morethe keys and levers and everything works exactly as it always had. I know my father bought this when he was taking some University courses back in the late'40s or early'50s. I last used it the 1980's and it was a very reliable good typewriter. It would probably still fit on an airliner tray today. The typewriter itself is in very nice condition. Of course the ink is dried out on the ribbon but I still managed to type out some faint letters. I did see a ribbon being offered on eBay although the seller said the Skyriter spools were slightly smaller and you would have to wind the ribbon onto the Skyriter spools. There may be other sellers of vintage supplies on the web as well. The cover snaps on over the top to turn it a compact which can be carried by the handle. The top cover is metal and unfortunately it did get scratched a fair amount. Approximate dimensions with the hardtop cover on: 12 1/2 x 13 x 3 inches. Antique The World Typewriter Pat. 1886 Indexing VERY RARE FIND
You are looking at a very rare find. This early Index Typewriter was patented in 1886 by John Becker of Boston and Manufactured by The World Typewriter Company of Maine. It originally sold for $8.00. This machine was created only 12 years after the typewriter was invented. It was advertised as a more portable typewriter that could be carried and used in transit. This has high value as is or can easily range into the $1.000s restored to it's original condition. Obviously, it has deterioration from age and storage- rust, two missing teeth from nickel plated"comb" missing rubber strip with alphabet/numerals. Up for consideration is a JC Penney PENNCREST CARAVELLE 12 portable manual typewriter. Information is kind of scarce. And I've not been able to date this unit, but these were apparently made from the mid to late 60's/early 70's. Cosmetically the machine is in very good condition. With only minor blemishes throughout as one would expect from a well used and well taken care of typewriter of its age. Most notable are the fingernail scuffs in the middle of the spacebar and along the bottom of the housing below the keys. Most are hard or impossible to make out in the pictures, but they're there. This is a very nice typewriter. Could probably use some preventative maintenance/light cleaning/lubing on the guts, but I'll leave that to someone who knows how best to do it. Typewriter functions very well. With no sticky keys. Prints ... moreclearly(including typos! Ribbon advance mechanism works well. All carriage control mechanisms function smoothly. Carry case is stamped steel with a textured coating and is likewise in very good condition. With only a handful of nicks and scratches to show for its age. Another testament to how well this machine was taken care of. Typewriter and case weigh in just shy of 21 pounds. As will be reflected in shipping charges. This is a working vintage Smith Corona Sterling typewriter with case. All the functions of the typewriter are working and the typewriter in is very good condition. The case shows some wear. The outer latch is working as is the latch that secures the typewriter to the case. This typewriter belonged to my grandparents and I have had it in its case on a shelf for 20 years. Vintage Royal Arrow Typewriter with case type writer portable antique
Welcome! Up for sale we have a vintage Royal Arrow portable typewriter with black case. Aside from a few dings in the case it is in very good condition. All the keys appear to work properly. However if you go fast the do seem to stick every now and then. I think it may just need a little grease or other lubricant.

Adler mod no 7 Frankfurt typewriter. Serial no. 36175. Very beautiful machine and in amazingly good condition considering it's age. Been unused for a long time and needs some service to work properly again. In very clean shape and no rust. Comes with leather cover. No returns allowed.
