Antique tin, typewriter ribbon, Peacock Brand 2.5"
This is a nice little tin in decent shape. It opens and closes well. And there aren't any dents or deformations that limit that. It was originally made to hold typewriter ribbon, produced by Peacock Brand, of 129 5th av, Pittsburgh, Pa. I tried my darndest to find that address on Google maps, but PNC bank has apparently erected a skyscraper where this company was located. I'm sure I would've preferred the original building, but whatever. Anyway. The paint over the entirety is chipped quite a lot, as you would expect, but there is little or no actual rust. The spaces where the type of ribbon would be typed has writing, but it is rubbed off mostly. I can make out"No.8 something" at the top and" something record" at the bottom. It comes with the original box and an old receipt. The addometer works well, however it is probably not as fast as a calculator or the computer. The addometer can add or subtract. The addometer is 11 1/2" long. There is an 11" rule along one side of it. It comes with a metal stylus. That looks like a long nail. The stylus is 5" long. The top part of the addometer is brass. The bottom is steel. The receipt that was in the box with the addometer looks like it was the receipt for repairs. The receipt is dated 22 June 62. Antique 1930's Underwood 4 Bank Portable Typewriter w/Case
This is a working 4 bank Underwood Standard Typewriter. It is in very nice condition. Its case is missing the original handle and is sturdy but the covering black fabric is lifting along the seams and needs to be glued. It has the original warranty attached to the inside of the case. It is a 6 month guarantee and states it was sold 27T 1931. The number is TVB 209726 and it appears to be stamped in Germany. The machine itself is working but needs a new ribbon. The machine is just in need of a cleaning but otherwise would make a wonderful addition to any collection. Please feel free to question.

Antique Glass-Top Typewriter Keys Full Set Black on White 1890's or Earlier?
Steampunkers and Jewelry Designers. Here's a full set of Antique Typewriter Keys.and when we say"Antique" we mean ANTIQUE. We've sold many a set of"old" typewriter keys but this set is the Oldest by far. Since we acquired these keys after they were cut from the machine. We don't know the exact Make and Year but we have four tantalizing clues to go on: First. These keys were either once nickel or chrome plated and have worn down to Brass, or they were Brass to begin with. Either way, this is the not the typical finish one finds on a 1920's typewriter. The keys are relatively free of nasty corrosion, but they are worn down to the base metal. Second. The typeface on the keys is old-school, with serifs, typical of the first typewriters produced in the 1870's and 1880s-and not the typical sans-serif face ... moreseen on later typewriter models. Third, the"Tab" key is labeled a"Tabulator Insert" key, which is very old-school. And, finally, there are couple of"blank" keys, including a strange solid-black key and a solid-red key. We are guessing(and it is purely a guess) that this is. At it's latest, an 1890 or 1900 typewriter's keys. The keys are glass-topped. They are black ink on a white background. The black ink on the keys is still fairly dark and solid. The background white has aged to a yellowish-gray white. The edges of the keys are wearing down to what appears to be Brass. All the keys have"cut-off tails" still intact: finish them as you desire. We will ship these keys anywhere in the USA using a USPS Flat Rate Envelope.
