This is a Perkins Next Generation Brailler. It Brailles fine as you can see from the pictures. A couple of the cheap plastic pieces have broken off of the machine. I have yet to see a next generation Brailler that does not eventually lost these plastic pieces. It does not affect its function. To move the carriage you just gently push down on the knob inside of the carriage return and it will move freely forward or backward. The back-space key works fine. The paper roller works fine. We rolled paper into the machine several times and Brailled line after line with it. Will ship economy. Priority, or internationally. Antique Late 1920's Royal Typewriter Red With Glass Keys Beautiful!!!
Up for sale is an"Antique Red 1920's Royal Portable Typewriter with case" Royal started making portable typewriters in 1926. This was purchased at an estate sale and we are not experts in this field so please bear that in mind. The serial number is P75036 and there is not a complete list of serial numbers available so this is the closest information that we were able to gather. This typewriter has so much character and is simply beautiful! This model is attached to a base(therefore"portable" and has a lid that goes over it. The carrying handle is missing and the case is quite beat up(see photos) The keys are glass. Don't seem to stick and are all intact. The spring that controls the bell needs to be replaced and naturally the ribbon, and one small screw is missing on the one side. Some of the paint is worn off ... moredue to use, as well as the lettering on the back with the manufacturers patent information. It smells a little musty. Is a little dusty and probably needs to be thoroughly cleaned by a professional. We've looked at many typewriters while researching this one and this little red number seems to be unusual. own a piece of history! I have not oiled it or cleaned it and everything moves freely so with a little maintenance I believe this would be a nice working machine. It looks like there is a panel missing on the left side. Underwood Standard Typewriter Antique 1943-1945 Good/Fair Working Condition
Offered is an Underwood Standard Typewriter that. According to its serial number, was manufactured between 1 Jan 1943 and 1 Jan 1945. It is clean and in working condition, but needs a new ribbon. Besides the finger pressure needed to actuate the keys(which I believe is inherent and not peculiar to this particular machine) the only mechanical problems I can find are: 1) the shift lock does not release without“help; and(2) the backspace key doesn’t always backspace. However, I don’t know how to set the tabs, so I can’t vouch for their operation. The image which shows the quality of the type letters and characters was auto-corrected by the scanner. The original is barely legible because of the age of the ribbon. Condition issues are wear from about 40 years of use followed by 30 years of neglect. The gold“Underwood” logo is faded. As is the ... moremanufacturer’s name and patent information on the back of the machine. If you don’t know that the manufacturer was Underwood-Elliot-Fisher, you probably wouldn’t be able to figure it out from the logo. See images. Royal Standard Typewriter No. 5, 1912, In Uncommonly Fine Original Condition!
Description: Anyone who collects typewriters knows that the Royal Standard No 5 is a very important model to have in a collection. Made from 1911-1913. This short-lived model, has an elegant appeal all its own. This particular machine had serial number 114990-5, which according to the Royal numbering system indicates it was made in 1912, and is indeed a model 5. Word is that this typewriter was lovingly used and cared for by a bank president's secretary in Butte, MT, which once was very wealthy and populous mining center. Eventually, her heirs put it in a consignment mall and that's how I got it. Condition: I am not a typewriter expert. But I have sold more than a few antique typewriters in my 25-year career as a dealer and qualified appraiser of antiques and collectibles. So I will try to be as picky as I can about this machine. ... moreI'll start by repeating my condition report from above. Very minimal wear to graphic decoration and a few spots of wear to paint, specifically a streak along one side from the"R" to the back corner(see 4th photo) and at one corner where the machine probably made contact with its missing leather case(see 5th photo) There is the thinnest wear along top front edge of the space bar(see 2nd photo)The typewriter does need cleaning, lubrication and adjustment, but the keys don't stick, the letters appear in good shape, and all the key covers are intact. Three keys show age toning, the A, G and R keys(see 8th photo) while all the other letters, numbers and symbols are nice and white. There is no significant corrosion underneath as shown in photos 10 and 11. The nickle plated parts look sharp. I could see no evidence of any missing screws or parts. I replaced the dried out ribbon with a new one(just could not stand to look at it when the rest of the machine was so lovely) After having said all this. This is a nice little print showing a very early"Velographe" typewriter model. I don't know what the original source was. But the same image comes up with Google, identifying the typewriter as being Swiss, and made in 1886 by Adolphe Prosper Eggis. The caption on the engraving reads. Fig. 1. Belographe" van Eggis. The actual date of the printing could be later. I bought this print in a shop in The Hague, Holland, in about 1999, and I'm offering it in the matte and plastic wrap as I purchased it. The second photo shows the shop's tag from the back of the matte, and identifies it as a 19th century wood engraving, which I believe is correct. The print measures about 3 3/4" x 3 1/4" within the matte cutout. I have not opened it up. So I don't know how much the paper extends beyond the opening. The paper ... moreis slightly yellowed, but very clean and attractive. The dark spot just above the fingers is part of the print, as are the small black specks near the bottom of the image. The print is a crisp impression of this interesting, old typewriter.

This is a vintage metal CORONA model# 3 standard folding typewriter. I found 15 vintage typewriters this weekend and will be listing them this week. I do combine shipping if possible. The machines are old and were made of thick metal- this model has all of it's keys and patent date info still readable on the back. the last pat date is 1904- 1910. The cylinder turns and the keys return bell and folding hinges are in working condition. VINTAGE MAROON L.C. SMITH AND CORONA SILENT PORTABLE TYPEWRITER WITH CASE 1930S
Offered here is the highly desirable L.C. Smith and Corona"Silent" typewriter flat top model. It is a beautiful maroon color and comes with its original case. The typewriter is in good working condition. The keys work properly and do not stick. The paper advances perfectly, the return carriage and lever also work just fine and the bell even dings! The surface paint is nice, shiny and glossy. There are very slight marks(hardly noticeable) on the top from the carriage return arm but it is in overall great condition with minimal surface wear and scratching. Under both ends of the carriage there is some corrosion which will most likely clean up with a little steel wool. It could probably use a new ribbon. The case is good and sturdy. It shows fabric wear on the corners and there is a stain along one side as shown. As would be expected ... morethis is quite heavy, therefore I will double box it to ensure safe shipping. Excellent Vintage Antique L.C. Smith & Corona Folding Travel Typewriter in Case
This is an excellent vintage Smith& Corona travel typewriter that works well and folds down to fit into a latching case. It is fairly clean although there are some dusty parts. The keys are excellent, the ribbon seems to be in very good condition, there are a few scuffs on the paint, but overall, it looks very good. The gold markings are crisp and clear; the one on the bottom front edge of the typewriter reads"LC Smith& Corona Typewriters Inc" and"Corona" is printed on the front of the typewriter above the keys. The keys move fluidly and don't stick unless several are pressed at once, and everything seems to be in working order, although I'm not a typewriter expert. The case has some wear on the outside, mainly along the edges and corners, and there is a discolored square on the bottom where a sticker was ... morestuck at one time. The case is still sturdy, nothing is loose or coming apart, it latches tightly, and the handle is in good condition. The outside measurements of the case are 12 1/4" L x 4 1/2" W x 10 1/4" H(12 1/2" if you include the handle which stands up) I will pack it well inside and out and insure it during shipping.
