Selling as is for parts or repair The carriage does not lock at any point. The space bar is not moving the carriage, the keys all stick and do not return, the ribbon is cut in half, the left end of the carriage when lifted is loose and can be raised a couple inches before it stops due to the right side still being attached, photos 10 and 11 show most of these parts Other than that it may be missing parts don't see any myself The keys have a few color shades from ware The last date is May 8th 1917 and the other marks are fair with the sides artwork quite worn Thank you for your purchase

This auction is for one vintage Magic Margin Royal Typewriter. I am not sure of the age of it. It looks like some of the ones I have seen from the 30s and 40s. But I cannot date it. It had writing on the back of the typewriter, but it has worn off almost all the way. The keys do not have the letters on them. It seems to function, but I have not put any paper in it because the ribbin is broke. The spacebar key on this item is cracked but does still function. If you have any questions, please let me know. Underwood Typewriter Original Glass Keys. Working condition. All keys strike properly. The ribbon feeds properly. forgot to show in pictures, but the orig. metal cased ribbon will be included and is in excellent condition. There is some scratches from where the lid closes near the sides. pictured on the sides near the ribbon canisters) There are scuffs, scratches and worn areas, but otherwise very nice looking typewriter. There doesn't seem to be any broken or repaired parts other than some dried/cracked rubber. The paper roller rubbers have flat spots and one of the rubber feet has come off but can be glued back on or replaced. The case is pretty scuffed/scraped up and has some wear on the corners and some loose material. But no structural flaws. Seems of sound construction. Latches but no key. The Blick was a typewriter that was distinguished from the rest by a number of reasons. In 1891 Georges Blickensderfer, who had invented a wheel types incorporated in several rows. This change allowed the wheels quickly as countries or types of writing. Many brands copied this system with wheel types and was the last to use the IBM company. Another difference is that the machines are not Blick tape reels, but an inking pad squeeze types when a key. And another difference is that the Qwerty keyboard Blick has not, usually Dhiatensor. This is a spare board set for the IBM Mag Card Selectric typewriter. This was a typewriter that had a base unit containing memory and a magnetic card writer/reader. It would store what you typed. You could make changes without retyping the whole document and could make multiple copies having only typed one. All taken for granted today. But back in the early 1970's this was a big deal. There are two boards and two small jumper boards. These were supposed to be working but with no way to test them out. I must sell them as-is. Estate Find - Very Nice Antique ROYAL Typewriter - Black Enamel Finish - GC NR
This recent estate find is an antique Royal typewriter in great condition. I am concluding from my examination of this machine that this typewriter was the"premier" writing instrument of its' day. It is in excellent working order too. The only condition issue I feel the need to mention in that area. Is that it would need a new ribbon to actually work. The mechanics of this machine are very smooth and in very good working condition. The condition cosmetically is good. There is a little wear to the high gloss black enamel paint and the silver Royal logo. The Royal sets have super thin, plastic tops, which many people claim are glass. The Royals have flat back and the the Underwood has the stems still attached. The Underwood is probably from the 1930's, and the Royals are from the late 1930's to mid-1940's. Vintage/Antique Remington Standard Model 10 Typewriter. The serial number is hard to make out. The prefix is RL but the numbers are very hard to make out, I think they are 32371 but I am not positive. The typewriter is in good working order. Needs a new ribbon and one of the rear feet is missing but other than that is ready to go. As you can see in the photos there is normal wear and tear from regular use. Here we have a Antique 1934 Vintage Royal Companion Portable Typewriter w/Case Black Glass Keys. This piece is in beautiful cosmetic condition and it does appear to be fully functional although it has not been professionally serviced or restored. We take detaile d photos which are considered to be part of the description. Please see pictures carefully before bidding or buying. This machine does not have a number"1" key. This i s not a mistake and ... moreit is not missing; Many old typewriters do not contain a separate key for the numeral 1 or the exclamation point. And some even older ones also lack the numeral zero. Typists who learned on these machines learned the habit of using the lowercase letter l for the digit 1, and the uppercase O for the zero. The exclamation point was a three-stroke combination of an apostrophe, a backspace, and a period. These characters were omitted to simplify design and reduce manufacturing and maintenance costs; they were chosen specifically because they were"redundant" and could be recreated using other keys. On modern keyboards, the exclamation point is the shifted character on the 1 key, a direct result of the heritage that these were the last characters to become"standard" on keyboards.
