antique remington typewriter. i do not see a date on it. the keys are yellow glass with silver rims. the green paint is chipped in several places. it types but the letters are slow or don't move along- i do not know anything about typewriters so not sure if it's oil or needs repair. the case is in bad shape. covering is loose top and bottom. inside the top case is number NA 75118 and a persons name. shipping fedex ground $18.00

Antique Vintage Portable Remington "Home Portable" Typewriter Serial # ES229346
VINTAGE REMINGTON HOME PORTABLE TYPEWRITER What a great old typewriter! I've never seen one with"HOME PORTABLE" written on the right hand side before this one. Also. It has the enscription"ASSEMBLED BY BRITISH LABOUR AT THE REMINGTON TYPEWRITER FACTORY LONDON FROM PARTS MADE IN USA" written in gold. This seems to be a more unusual model, but I'm not for sure. This typewriter will definitely need cleaning as it hasn't been off its case skid since only God knows when and there seems to be quite a bit of dust under there. There are a few scratches around, but nothing really serious. As far as I can tell it appears to be in working order other than some stickiness here and there(cleaning needed) I included a photo of some of the typed font as best I could with the poor ribbon. The ribbon also definitely needs to ... morebe changed out. As for the case- It is in pretty frazzled condition. It has no carrying handle and its outer covering is peeling on the outer case and also on the typewriters skid(see photos) The covering is still complete and can be laid back down and resecured with glue, which would return most of it to its original position and improve its looks immensely. The rest of the covering displays scuffs, scratches, discoloring, and soiling. The cover does fit down onto the bottom and also locks into position securely. Vintage Underwood 6 11 Typewriter barn fresh and seems to work fine...working
This"old girl" is barn fresh but appears to be all there. Vintage typewriters are not my thing so please ask if you have any questions at all. I am off the grid on the weekends so keep that in mind when asking questions. If you remember seeing this about a week ago you are correct. The winning bidder was from out of the country and didn't know that the shipping charge would be so much due to the weight. I am not offering international shipping due to this very reason. This came from an estate sale here in Ohio. They had quite a few typewriters and I picked up a couple just for the heck of it. This Underwood typewriter is actually very nice looking. I like the industrial look it has. One of the feet pads came off when I moved it(see the last photo) It appears to have dry rotted. Everything seems to work. The Q is the only letter ... morethat sticks(it goes up fine you have to manually bring it back down(Q is a rather unused letter anyway: The little crank on the side moves the ribbon spools. The bell rings, the carriage moves with the keys and space bar, the paper adustment for distance between lines works, the shift keys work fine, etc etc. I don't know every function the machine should have but everything I tried worked. The ribbon is dried up and broken but I don't think that should be too big of an issue. One would expect this to happen. the top 5 keys seem to be some kind of tabs. They move the carriage different increments. Some of the key's letterings on the top are not lined up straight. The keys themselves are straight.just the little pics inside are not. see the photos) I don't know how you fix that so I am leaving it as is. No returns on this piece since it is just too darn heavy. Here is a vintage 1960s Smith-Cornoa Star-Riter Deluxe Typewriter. The typewriter cover and case are turquoise with white keys and a white handle. It's in working condition- I typed the lines shown in the pics. I believe the red/black ribbon is installed upside down because the ribbon color indicator is reversed. The only flaw I noticed is that I wasn't able to move the left margin- the button wouldn't move. I'm sure this also needs cleaning. Oiling and adjustment. There are no cracked or broken parts. The ribbon even has some life to it! Some of the leatherette on the case needs to be glued back down, and I'll leave that for the new owner. The paint has small cracks basically all over it but it doesnt appear like any paint is missing. I typed on it and it does seem to work and doesn't stick. It needs to be cleaned up and the case needs to be cleaned up. I do not clean them as I don't want to clean it incorrectly so I sell it exactly how its sent to me. The serial number is P332058. Comes with case however case is missing the original leather handle strap(see pictures) This is an awesome little portable typewritter and ive seen the same ones on ebay sell for around 600. If you take a look at the last picture I put up in this auction you will see some of the typing I did to test this out. Everything has not been tested but the keys have been. It seems to key fine and glide fine. The left side of the typewriter has a minor scratch mark that is about 1/4" big by the arm. The upper le ft hand corner abo ve the tab key has about 1/4" scuff mark. The right front corner by the keys has a surface scratch that can be buffed out. Also. On the right hand side there are 2 scratch marks that are about 3" long. There are a few small scratches on the blue top, real light, which can be seen i n the photos. The box is also in great cond ition. It is s turdy and firm. With no sign s of dampness. It opens and closes like a new box would. It w as in a smoke free home. As there is no smell to it. Vintage WOODSTOCK TYPEWRITER - All Metal, Ball Bearing & Standard Shift
This is an old Vintage Typewriter from Woodstock. Made in Woodstock Illinois in the early 1940s. I am not a typist, but everything I tried worked fine. The keys struck hard, the bell dings, and the carriage slides smoothly. The ribbon is going to need replaced. This is an All Metal typewriter that weighs almost 30 pounds. 1920's Gundka-Werk Index Typewriter
Offered here is an antique M W model index typewriter manufactured in Germany by Gundka-Werk. These were available beginning in 1924 and through most of the 20's. This machine was meant for the U.S. market and about 80.000 units were sold. The serial number# 8342 of this machine represents an early U.S. model. It has been suggested that the M W may have stood for(Montgomery Ward? It resembles a toy, but was always marketed as a serious typewriter. This unit appears to be all original and complete with the base and metal cover. It even has the original ink ribbon; that's just about unheard of nowadays. All of the gears are in good condition. It does need some tuning up though. The carriage is not advancing when the keys strike. The lever is bent at the front of the unit(easily bent back to correct position) Also, the bakelite? keys ... moreare quite worn/aged. see photos) Please view all of the photo's to determine for yourself the condition of this unit. The case as observed in the photos has paint loss, rust, and scratches. The wood base has the splits, chips, etc; as may be expected. All in all.
