Here is an early example of a verge fusee Carriage clock. Possibly 1700's This clock unfortunately is not signed and has been sitting for a very long time. The balance"staff" is good in that it moves freely as it should. The crown wheel advances for a few ticks then stops. The fusee chain is intact. The movement has three winding arbors Time-Stride and Alarm. All springs feel good. The dial has some loss at 3 and 9 The center medallion in the dial arch appears to be silver and is indexed for the rating R and A with numbers in between and a floral engraving at bottom of medallion. The arbor at the top of the dial goes to and arched rack and when turned adjusts the rate. The hour and minute hand are present but the rating hand is not present. This movement is missing the Pendulum rod and bob so i was unable to properly test it. It did however try to run while sitting in the box during listing. This clock movement has 1911 Gilbert stamped on both sides. It also has what looks like a 25 stamped on one side. There is also a Pat. Date on the part that holds the Pendulum rod and suspension spring that says it was Pat. April 28. 1896. The fly has some lead(or similar substance) in it that gives it weight. Not sure if this is factory or added later. The 4 mounts look to have been altered or stressed. The springs are still able to be wound and still hold tension. The winding arbors are approx. 3 In. apart(center to center) and the time stud is centered approx. and 1 1/4 ... moreabove that. The adjustment arbor is approx 1 5/8 in. above the venter time stud. For your consideration: An exquisite SETH THOMAS Cymbal#2 eight day time and strike mantle clock circa 1920's. I believe it is entirely original and nothing has been removed. Added or altered. This clock is in close to mint condition. T here are no cracks. Chips, or dents on this beautiful Mahogany case only some very minor tiny scratches in the bottom back wood case. I cannot put into words the absolute beauty of this Mahogany case. The wood grain is amazing ... moreand has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The rich Mahogany case retains it's original deep shine. The design of the case is a masterpiece of thoughtful design and workmanship. We have acquired the assets of an old clock shop and continue the disposition of these assets with this listing of a vintage time/strike CROWN clock movement. Probably 30 day movement made in Japan. The plates are about 4 1/4" high by 31/2" wide, the two winding shafts are about 1" long and about 3" apart, and the center post is about 1 3/4" long and about 1 1/2" from each winding shaft. Antique Seth Thomas Wall Clock (1912) Oak Octagon 8 Day Time (Working) w/ a Key
This is a 100 year old clock that works great and has a nice solid soft ticking sound. It has the numbers wearing off and there are tiny paint droplets on the wood and glass. see pics) The two screws that hold the glass door on are not original to the clock. There is some small scratches in the black on the little window in front of the pendulum. The wood back is nailed to case and I have not removed the nails to look inside. There is a key that winds the clock(There are little paint specks on one side of the key too) and there is a second little key with a lion on it but I don't know what its function is if any. The clock stands nearly 24 inches tall and has an old metal hanger on the back with a date of 8/1/12 and 1912F. Thanks for looking!

VINTAGE STROMBERG PUNCH CLOCK MODEL 36 This vintage. Art deco style Stromberg punch clock looks cool and also keeps time when it's plugged in. It also still punches a time and date on a card when it's slid in the slot. There is a new blue ribbon on it because the one that it had was to dry and we removed it.
