Antique 19th C Bundy Time Recording Co Seth Thomas Clock Wall Large Parlor
A Rare to find Bundy Recording Company of Binghamton NY. This would date pre 1900 as they moved the clock company in 1900 to another city. It is an estate find. And according to the auctioneer the gentleman brought it home from the factory and cut the case down to make it a wall clock for his home. So unfortunately it is missing about the bottom third of the clock from when it was originally produced. The clock is running but the minute hand is occasionally skipping forward so it will need some adjustment. The face measures 9 3.4" exposed and is metal, the clock is 29 1/4" tall and 16" wide. This clock is extremely heavy thus the high shipping. I was looking at the pendulum because it was not hung correctly when I purchased it. The clock is 5.25" wide x 2.5" deep with a flat real glass over the white unmarked signed dial. The clock is mounted onto a 7" diameter Mahogany finished square bulkhead which has brass reinforced corners to protect them. This is all undamaged and fully working. The movement is a battery type. VINTAGE ITALIAN GILT& BLACK ENAMELED IMPERIAL MANTEL CLOCK WITH HECHINGER QUARTZ TIME This Imperial Mantel Clock is a gold gilt& black enameled classic. It was made in Florence. Italy but the clock movement was created by Hechinger of West Germany, which dates the clock from between 1961 when the Berlin Wall was built and divided Germany and 1990 when the Wall fell. I purchased the clock from an auction in 1985 and it was not new at that time. It is a Hechinger quartz time movement which runs efficiently on one battery. The clock works. It does not chime. I wound the clock up and it seems to keep good time. The clock strikes a gong on the half hour and counts the hours on the hour as it should as well. The clock has a wood case. The case looks like it has been refinished but looks great. There are no chips. Cracks, breaks or repairs in the wood of the case. The clock has a brass colored bezel with a convex glass dial cover. Antique New Haven Kitchen/ Parlor Clock Movement& Parts- Time. Strike& Alarm: Up for auction are the complete parts which I have removed from an antique New Haven Gingerbread clock. I had discovered the New Haven Gingerbread clock recently but unfortunately the cabinet beyond repair so I removed each of the interior parts of the clock which I have photographed for your consideration. The movement does not have a pallet. Suspension spring or rod and because the escapement wheel was continuing to spin, I did secure it gently with a small piece of wire. When I removed the dial from the movement I noticed that there had been some earlier repairs done to it so please be sure to view the photographs carefully to see these repairs. Because I am unaware of the working condition/ accuracy of the movement, please know that this listing is being ... moreoffered as is- for parts or repair. Below I will go over the condition of each of the components of the clock parts and if you have any further questions, please do hesitate to send me a note. Movement: As mentioned. There has been prior repairs done to the movement. The heavy polished brass plates and wheels are relatively clean(no built up oil or tarnishing) and there are no damaged wheels(bent or missing teeth) The movement is marked on the front plate, bottom right corner, with the following: NEW HAVEN(star logo) TRADEMARK I believe the movement to be an 8-Day time and strike which would strike the large coiled gong once on the 1/2 hour and again on the hour with the corresponding number of hours. The mainsprings appear to be in very good. This is a huge wind up time clock it came out of the Nabisco factory in Marsailles Illinois. I bought it on an auction in Ottawa Illinois. Had intentions of sanding it down and refinishing and using it as furniture but I've got too many projects right now. I stated working on one set of doors as you can see it will clean up great. The veneer on both ends is pretty rough I don't know about fixing it that's for the buyer to decide. I haven't wound it because I don't know enough about and didnt want to damage it due to my lack of knowledge.I don't have the key either. So I have no idea about it mechanical condition. The door locks are missing as is the large pointer that rotates in the numbered circle on the end. Up for bid is a Vintage Westclox Travel Clock with Time Zones Wind-Up with Alarm. It was made in Japan. It is good working condition. But one connecting screw is missing. Instead this screw someone used small pin or needle. The glass has crack. It has also some minor wear and minor scratches. Please see the pictures.
