The inside of the projector does have an old electronic smell to it. I did clean the unit carefully yet was unable to fully eliminate the odor. The sides of the case and especially the corners are cosmetically worn and scratched a fair amount. The overhead functions perfectly. It does not come with any overhead bulbs. Here is an overhead projector that I bought locally some years ago; I used it a few times and since then it has been in storage. I just tested it and lamp is working. Fan works good too. No broken glasses or lenses. However the fresnel lens has a couple of tiny hairline scratches in the center of it, one is about 2" and the other is about 1" long.
