Up for sale is a vintage Dutch silver hinged notepad holder on a wooden base. The silver cover features skilled and detailed repoussé and chase work. The scene depicted is of a friendly al fresco supper with musical accompaniment. It measures 7 1/2 inches long. 5 inches wide, and just under 1 inch deep. It will accommodate a notepad measuring no larger than 7 by 4 1/4 inches to fit neatly under the silver cover. Piece is signed‘HH90 Herbert Hooijkaas, Schoonhoven’ in the lower right corner of the lid. It is in great condition with very little wear. It probably dates to the 1940s or 1950s. This notepad holder is approx 4 ¼” x 6” and it would hold a notepad approx ⅜” thick. It is fabric covered with a wonderful raised design image of Warszawa Rynek Starego Miasta on the front. This design plate looks like pewter but I think it is some sort of lightweight plastic or resin. It almost feels like some kind of thin metal. But I don’t think it is. The perfect notepad size is 5 ⅝” x 3 ¾” The back of the notepad slips into paper bands that are secured to the inside of the back cover. All items will be sent USPS. Thanks again and happy eBaying! This auction is for a set of 5 notepad covers from Northwest Paper Company. A subsidiary of Potlatch Forest, Inc. The covers are illustrated with Arnold Friberg's paintings of a Canadian Mountie. One cover has part of a 1967 calendar on the back; the rest are blank. The covers are 4 1/2 by 7 inches, not including the torn strip at the top which bound the notepads together. The covers are in good condition with a little wear at the edges and slight wrinkles, but one has pencil marks across the words at the bottom, as seen in the photo.

This is a black leather day planner made by Cambridge. It is vintage and it is about 20 years old. It can house a note pad but it does NOT come with a note pad. You will have to buy that on your own. It also has a place for a business card and a pen. It also has a compartment for a few notes. It measures 8 5/8" x 5 3/4" inches. So plan to purchase a notepad that is this size. I only took a picture of the front of the notepad. But the back is in perfect condition. There is a little sticker that I put on it for purposes of focusing the camera. That will peel right off with no residue. It was only on there for a few seconds.
