This medium notepad holder from Saddleback Leather is SUPER RARE. It is made of full grain leather and is light tobacco in color- a discontinued Saddleback color. THE BEST SB COLOR TO BUILD CHARACTER AND BEAUTIFUL PATINA This item has the original and discontinued Saddleback logo on the bottom right front corner. The interior has a different configuration from the current version. You'll find four pockets on the left side and a pocket on the right to accommodate an 8.5" x 11" note pad. This auction is for a vintage art deco fiberglass coated cardboard notepad holder/case with it's original pencil. Folded up it measures 3 inches by 4 1/2 inches. And the pencil measures 2 inches long. There is a string attached to the pencil which wraps around the actual notepad when inserted into the holder. There is an one inch crack in the fiberglass to the left of the slit that holds the notepad's cardboard backing. The one corner of the spine is also damaged. Please see the pics above. It is in good condition overall. I see none of the rips or tears that are common with products of this type. However, there is some minor wrinkling in the plastic(see pics) and the portfolio is slightly warped. The warping may disappear when a notepad is inserted.
