Mid Century Modern Industrial Herman Miller Inspired Desk w/ Multicolor Drawers
~For Your Consideration~ A cool Mid Century Modern Industrial Herman Miller inspired desk. This desk is in very good vintage condition. The desk top is a wood grain laminate. The frame is steel, and the drawers are wood. The 7 drawer fronts are painted a Yellowish Orange and Beige. All hardware is in place. The steel frame is brown. There is a small piece of laminate that has come off the right back corner and that I have saved so it can be easily glued back on. Also the left side lower drawer is a bit sticky, but does pull out. Other than that, just your normal wear expected with age. This piece would wonderfully compliment any Mid Century Modern Decor. This is your opportunity to purchase a set of 5 of the ORIGINAL Herman Miller Elephant Grey chairs. This color was one of the original 6 colors that Herman Miller produced. These chairs are dated January 1961. Four of the five are dark grey overall. The fifth chair is slightly lighter in the area that you sit(this can be seen in the last photo) These chairs are all marked with the Herman Miller logo and are free of holes and chips. Two of them have very small cracks on the inside corner which is shown in two of the photo's. They all have very good original shock mounts that will not need to be replaced. Vtg 1970's Teak Retro Etagere Bookcase Mid-Century Modern Eames Herman Miller
This is a sensational circa 1970's etagere shelf rack unit. It is made of teak cross-members that clamp with set screws onto orange coated steel tubes which are very sturdy and support glass shelves. Very minimalist design. I do not know the exact age but I do know they are older and it has an Allied moving sticker with a patent date of 1965 and 1970 so I am leaving the sticker attached for reference and date approximation. It measures 85" tall 25.5" wide and 17 5/8" deep. It is in excellent overall condition with minimal wear. The glass shelves are removable and can adjust by moving the teak bars up and down along the tubes. The glass is also in excellent condition but there is a large scratch across one that fortunately is not very noticeable. These come completely apart and will be shipped in two boxes. The shell retains very rare Herman Miller label commonly referred as" half label" The shell rests on an early black x-rod base with Dome of Silence glides. The chair was designed by Charles Eames and manufactured by the Herman Miller Furniture Company and Summit Polymers Injection Molded Thermoplastics. Inc. in the late 1960's. The chair is known for it's comfort and durability. The shell is produced from fiberglass-reinforced plastic. Upper portion can be used a back rest or arm rest.This is an earlier model, perhaps from the 1980s due to the"4 star" base, newer ones have 5, but it looks to be in nearly showroom condition as if gently used. There are two 1/2 inch lighter area on the purple seat fabric, barely noticeable, and slight scratches on the painted aluminum pedestal. No visible wear to fabric, no tears or damage to it nor to the polished aluminum and chrome steel structure. The foam is still soft and the fabric could use a good cleaning. For your consideration is one(1) a rare vintage original EAMES Zenith fiberglass armchair. Gorgeous. Relatively rare golden hue color. I believe the color is a faded or light ochre. As it's darker than the classic parchment and has a golden/butterscotch/yellowish tint(please see comparison photos featuring this ochre chair alongside another Zenith chair I have in parchment, so you can see the differences in color) In any case, I'll leave it to the buyer make their own determination regarding official color. Early production chair(early 1950s) featuring the large hockey puck size shock mounts and translucent shell that immediately followed the 1st year rope edge Zenith chairs while still retaining the large mounts. The classic mid-century Eames fiberglass pair shell chairs. Manufactured by Herman Miller. Once common. Original mid-century Herman Miller chairs are becoming increasingly hard to find in this good condition, and color. Featuring a lovely royal blue. These chairs are in very good condition for their age. The shell's have nice even color overall. The wear is minor. The front of both shells are beautiful. And both still retain their sheen. There is some wear along the top and side edges of the shells from being stacked(they are stacking chairs after all! but nothing major Just a few of the individual fibers on both seats have darkened. There are a couple of scratches/scuff due to age on both chairs. The metal base's are in good vintage condition. But do have some surface wear as is to be expected for their age.
