A GALLERY ANDERSON EXCLUSIVE! A PAIR OF CHARLES AND RAY EAMES LA FONDA MARBLE TABLES ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR THE LA FONDA DEL SOL RESTAURANT AT ROCKEFELLER CENTRE. NEW YORK. In the 1960's Alexander Girard was commissioned to outfit the La Fonda Del Sol restaurant at New York's Rockefeller Centre. Girard was responsible for the overall interior ranging from wallpaper to crockery and it was furnished by Eames' office. For the restaurant. The Eames' came up with the striking chrome die-cast aluminum base that is featured on these two tables. Fitted with amazing Italian marble tabletops, the La Fonda is an elegant table for home or office. And, here is a pair of them! They retain their original tags and labels on the underside. Offered here are 3. Matching, Salmon, very fibrous, Red-Orange/ Orange arm shells. They have a great, early Eames look. They are pre-1965. They are signed with embossed double triangles, only, apparently indicating they were among the first shells molded by Summit Plastics after Zenith. They have an early Herman Miller paper patent number label. Originally these great shells were all on H-bases which you can see by looking at the shock mounts. No bases offered in this sale. Very Collectible! Excellent ambiance for your MCM place. All the shock mounts are present-they are starting to deteriorate. Narrow configuration so you can put them on nifty Eames bases like Eiffel Tower, X-Bases, Rockers, H-bases-Black or Bright Zinc, Dowel, Office PCA or others. EAMES ROPE EDGE CHAIR LOW LOUNGE X-BASE Zenith Herman Miller CHECKERBOARD LABEL!
For your consideration is one(1) rare. All-vintage EAMES ROPE EDGE fiberglass armchair with full checkerboard label. Clear rope edge details. A true classic. All-original vintage chair. Mounted on its original ultra-low"lounge height" X-base. Which is far rarer and sits lower than the standard dining height X-base. The rear legs measure approx. 12.5" in height and extend a bit further back than the standard and more common dining height X-bases. Retains original domes of silence glides. You can still see the wording of"DOMES OF SILENCE" which are still intact on the rubber disc portion of the glides. Which is pretty amazing since the lettering is usually the first to fade with age. Overall great vintage condition with age-appropriate wear such as surface dirt and shock mount shadows on the shell as well as rust and ... moreoxidation on the base. The notable flaws are the cigarette stains on the seat. Which could probably be removed with the proper cleaner. There's also a tiny slit on the X-base near the lower left screw, as depicted, which doesn't compromise the structural integrity of the chair. There's a small mark on the backrest that may be some epoxy residue from a previous repair but it's hard to tell and we're not entirely sure. In any case, it's camouflaged amid the fibers, so it's hardly noticeable. These minor imperfections are all depicted and already reflected in the price. As with all our vintage chairs, we're selling as is and as acquired. This is the ideal chair for the vintage purist who wants their Eames chairs to be all-vintage. DESCRIPTION. Handsome and functional CSS two bay wall unit with desk designed by George Nelson and manufactured by Herman Miller. This versatile system measures 81" wide by 79" high when installed. It has beautiful walnut veneer on the cabinets and shelves. And a very pale gray formica desk top surface. This set includes: a 32" wide cabinet with two sliding doors a 48" wide cabinet with organizing shelves a 48" wide shelf with slots for bookend brackets 6 wire bookend brackets two 32" shelves 71" long by 29 1/2" wide by 29" high. Formica desk assembly with 2 drawer cabinet three 79" long black enameled poles three pole stabilizers all hardware for hanging shelves. Cabinets and desk Pictured with a Danish chair which has been sold. This listing is for the shelving system only. DIMENSIONS 81" ... morewide by 79" high when installed. CONDITION Good vintage condition. This does show signs of wear from use. The desk drawers open and close smoothly.There is no key for the locking mechanism, but the drawers are unlocked. The formica desk top is in excellent shape with only a couple of very tiny dings, but it does have small chips to the walnut veneer around the front and side edges. There is an ink stain to the front of the desk cabinet and some chips to the veneer on the drawers. The top of the organizing cabinet has several scratches and there are many tiny areas of bubbling to the veneer on the top of the sliding door cabinet. The previous owner cut the tops of the poles at a slight angle, the adjustable feet on the bottoms are all present. This is very structurally sound and sturdy, and the overall appearance presents very nicely. Please see all of the pictures below for more detail. Herman Miller/ George Nelson Desk/ Credenza. This is a half portion of the L-Shaped desk by Miller/Nelson. Vintage used condition with a few blemishes. Of note is a quarter sized chip in the lamination on the top left side and a 28 inch piece of the lower rear laminate is missing. Being sold as shown and as described. There are two drawers on the left side of the kneehole opening. One is 5 1/2 inches tall and the other is 12 3/4 inches; both are 13 inches wide. There is also a door which measures 11 3/4 inches in width and has an adjustable shelf inside. The kneehole opening is 24 3/4 inches in width. To the right of the kneehole opening is an area 11 inches in depth. On the far right side end is a door covering two shelves- it is 17 1/2 inches wide by 19 inches in height. Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1954. The Compact Couch was produced by Herman Miller. It measures 73.5" wide, 30" deep, 35" tall at the back and 16" tall at the seat. The frame is in great shape and the piece has its original upholstery. The cover has a bit of fading, a couple of tears, and a scratch along the back. The legs have a bit of oxidation and the polyurethane filling is beginning to break down. It would be a great candidate to re-cover. See pictures for detail. The classic Herman Miller geometric chrome clock by noted designer Gilbert Rohde, one of America’s leading early proponents of modernism and industrial design. The minimalist design of the finely made chrome case is totally in keeping with Rohde’s early design aesthetic. This is one of the less common examples, with a matte silvered dial and finely striped stylized numbers(most have a white dial with art deco block numbers) The case is in exceptional untouched original condition, showing a slight bit of natural age to the chrome, but there is no corrosion or damage. The face and inside under the glass could use a bit of cleaning, and there is a line where one of the hands rubbed the face, but there is no damage from misuse. For sale is my 1958 Eames by Herman Miller rosewood lounge chair that needs restoration. The wood shells are near perfect and have no cracks, drill holes or chips in the veneers edge. The aluminum will need polishing and is otherwise in good condition. The goose down cushions and fill as well as the backing and all clips/snaps are in great condition. The black leather is in great condition except for the seat that needs to be redone. All cushions are still in great and useable condition as is. I will also sell just the good original black leather as in both armrest, backrest and head rest for 975.00. So anyone needing 1958 leather in great original condition, here is you chance. I bought this lounge chair with intention of restoring it but have lost interest and now just collects dust. I will consider trading for Vitra miniatures or Girard ... moredolls. Vtg Mid Century Modern 8FT HERMAN MILLER Oval Conference Table / Dining Table
This table is solid. Sturdy, and looks great when assembled. The table is currently disassembled for easier transport. The first couple pictures are from another website so you can see what it looks like set up. Mine is the exact same table as the first two pictures, except the top of mine may be different. The table is too heavy for me to set it up and take pictures on my own, but there are pictures of the real thing from in my garage. The table is 8ft long. 54" wide, and 28.5" tall. This is the oval racetrack style table. Minor wear is to be found as this piece is vintage in nature, but overall this table is in decent shape. Pictured in the last picture is a scratch, and there may be a little scuffing on the sides. We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of club chairs. The pair were produced in 1998. They are superior in construction and manufactured by NEMSCHOFF. Which is a Herman Miller owned company. This fine pair feature French Art Deco or Art Moderne design and have fantastic lines and low. Exaggerated profiles. The chairs are EXTREMELY HEAVY. The have natural wood tone frames which are visible on the arms and the unique"winged" feet. The wood is protected with a thick clear coat. The fabric is woven. The general color is a brownish purple or plum that has finely woven golden threads incorporated as well. Nemschoff is renowned for furniture which gives proper support to the back and these chairs are exceptionally comfortable. The chairs were briefly used in a Psychologist's office and have been stored in his home for several ... moreyears. They are in extremely nice condition with only very minor signs of use. There are very minor scuffs to the feet in just a couple of areas. This can be resolved and is not distracting. Other than that, the chairs are exceptional.
