Rare. Red. Really! Red was a custom-ordered color only. Armchairs are seldom offered for sale( when was the last time you saw one. at all? But here you have this brief opportunity to make a Big Decision and assume stewardship of this vintage, iconic beauty. It's in the exact same condition it was in when I bought it 20yrs ago and is as follows: Bright. Vivid, primary red hue is factory original with copious visible fibers and clear coat intact. Original zinc base with the rear leg option angled so as to keep the chair rim from hitting the wall has the original glides. Rubber mounts and bolts are original. Herman Miller" is embossed on the underside as it should be. Running your fingers along the potato-chip rim of the circumference reveals some"flea bites" common to this chair, but only in one spot(pics#7& 8) does it ... moreaffect the overall contour of the shell- and it's a pretty minor little"dent" you have to be looking for it. On the seat(pics#9& 10) some idiot left an irregular scratch, and two tiny chips that I long ago filled in with acrylic(it may have darkened a shade- easy to re-do) and, again, you have to look for it to be revealed in a certain light-reflecting angle-blame the shiny gelcoat! That's it! No apologies here! If you expect showroom perfection from vintage items you covet- good luck inventing your time machine! This item was used but not abused! While in my care it was loved and protected. Serious collectors who know what this treasure is all about are encouraged to snap this right up without delay(it bears repeating now- when is the last time you saw one.when do you think you'll see one again? I purchased this desk in the 1990's new from Herman Miller for $$$$$. 85" LONG x 36" WIDE x 29" TALL APX SIZE It has been an excellent desk but it has been relegated to a basement office and it really needs a new home as it is such a beautiful desk. It includes 2 media trays. The end rubber pieces have disappeared in various moves I have made. I think you can still buy the pieces from Herman Miller. The glass is very heavy. Made in 2007. This award-winning Herman Miller Mirra Chair has performed dutifully for 7 years, and can be expected to last at least 7 more. The chair features two adjustable arm rests. EAMES DOWEL SIDE TABLE on Vintage SENG CHICAGO Base White Top Herman Miller RARE
For your consideration is one of the holy grail items for vintage Eames collectors: the ever elusive dowel base table. This is definitely for serious Eames collectors and would be an amazing addition to any mid century modern collection. These tables are so rare. That only two other comparable dowel leg tables(one with a circular top like ours and one with a rectangular top) have appeared on the market in the last decade, one of which sold for over $3K($2,700 plus premium) at an auction way back in 2004(see screencaps) Given its rudimentary attachments, this particular one we have may have even been a prototype, but we're not certain. In any case, it's a great piece and would perfectly complement any Eames chair or other mid century modern furniture in your home or office. Measurements in inches: Table top diameter: 18" Total ... moreheight: 15" The base is made by SENG CHICAGO(the maker's mark is still visible on the underside. As depicted) which made most of the early dowel bases for Eames and Herman Miller. This table features one of the rare Seng dowel bases with all original leg tips still intact. There appear to be no rewelds that we can see. Which is rare for these bases, but please examine all the photos to make your own determination. DESIGNED BY CHARLES EAMES" medallion affixed on the bottom of the table. The original tag had fallen off when we got the table. But this is the same era-appropriate tag found on these vintage tables. Overall good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Notably rust and oxidation on the metal rods and disc of the base, scratches on the wood and surface of the white veneer tabletop, a small chip on the underside near the medallion which won't be visible when the table is in use, and loose screws attaching the base to the table top. One screw/washer set appears to have been a replacement and doesn't look like the other three. We would recommend reinforcing these connectors either by adding brackets to the bottom or via epoxy, as the table top mo

For your consideration is a set of two(2) stunning vintage original EAMES fiberglass armshells from circa 1950's: 1 x OCHRE 1 x BROWN Very fibrous shell with a gorgeous sheen and color. Lovely ochre. Which is the closest to gold in the Eames color chart and looks amazing under all lighting conditions, and mocha brown. Excellent condition. With the only flaw being a small crack on the lower left side of the ochre shell as depicted(which is not really noticeable as it practically blends in with the fiberglass threads, which almost camouflage it, as well as typical edge wear and surface scratches. Selling as is and already reflected in the price. The ochre has the rare flame embossment on the bottom and raised Herman Miller logo directly above it. In addition to the interlocking Summit double triangles. We've only seen and owned a couple ... moreof shells with this distinction.
