Ray Wilkes For Herman Miller Orange Chiclet Lounge Couch. A mid century modern lounge designed by Ray Wilkes for Herman Miller. The cushions and arms are in the form of large pieces of Chiclet gum. The chair upholstered in orange wool blend fabric. It measures 57 inches long. 28 inches high at the back and 16 inches high at the seat. It is approximately 28 inches deep off the wall. The fabric is original and has no tears or pulls. The cushioning has no hardening and is still spongy. The original label is still attached and the Herman Miller stamp is on the support bar at the bottom as well. Great piece, great color, great condition- bummed I have to depart with it!

Offered by Treazzurez Original 1950s Herman Miller Executive Desk Up for auction is a VINTAGE. Original, 1950s Mid-Century desk for Herman Miller, designed by George Nelson. This piece has been in my family since the 1950s. My father(an architect) was the original purchaser. It has a dark wood finish and white Formica. The white top measures 72" L x 30" W x about 1 1/2" Deep. I need to get the height from floor to top. The wooden cabinet is 67 1/2" L x 26 3/4" W x 18 1/2" H. without the legs. Over all height of the wood cabinet section is about 24" I will re-measures this weekend) The cabinet has cupboards that are accessible from both sides. The"main" side has 1 cupboard. 6 drawers, 2 shelves. There is also a metal file drawer on the right side of the Formica desktop. The file drawer measures ... more15 1/2" x 10" x 11 1/4" Original hanging file folders with metal crossbars(not plastic. Like now) are included. It has the original"H" shaped chrome base for support. All foot glides are present. It is almost impossible to find an authentic. Vintage model of one of these desks as not that many were made. Back in the day. This piece is pre-owned and has been used. So please see all pics. It has sat in a room.Unused, for about the last 30+ years. There are a few corner chips and light scratches on the wood where the two desk pieces join together. This really does not show as the top piece covers the scratched part. We have not attempted to stain or fix. Leaving that to the Buyer. Some Formica glue needs to be cleaned up on one Formica edge- this should scrape off readily with a flat knife/tool. ALL NOTED PROBLEMS ARE PICTURED. The desk is in VERY GOOD condition overall. Pics make it seem much worse. You know how the camera pixels can magnify. But we want to disclose everything! This is an original piece from the 50s. I also have an original Herman Miller orange. Description Up for sale is a Gilbert Rohde original 1940 Herman Miller Kidney Desk-Rare Gilbert Rohde biography Designer Gilbert Rohde(1894-1944) The son of a cabinetmaker, was born and raised in New York. He left high school to pursue a variety of jobs, landing a short stint at a local paper, the Bronx News, drawing political cartoons. In 1923 he turned the experience into a job as an illustrator at the Abraham& Strauss department store. Inspired by a trip to the Paris Exhibition in 1925, Rohde began designing furniture and his early work was sold at Lord& Taylor. An exuberant modernist, his pieces gleaned simplicity and rationalism from Bauhaus design and a sense of form and ornamentation from Art Deco. He worked predominantly in Bakelite and chrome, the materials that madeup the visual vocabulary of the period. Between 1927-28 ... moreRohde designed the interiors for Avedon fashion stores. Where his wife was part of the advertising team. Heywood-Wakefield of Massachusetts began picking up his designs in 1930, with a bentwood chair being one of their most successful pieces. This is a vintage. Authentic herman miller softpad management aluminum group chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames, and featured in time life magazine. The chair is a classic. Though it does have a few condition issues. There are some scuffs and scratches on the arms, and small tears on some of the edges of the fabric. The upholstery is faded over time, and the foam is breaking down. It's easy to replace, and actually has a zipper to open it up and restuff the upholstery, so it's a simple enough maintenance issue. The base itself is in working condition. However, the knob to turn for raising and lowering the chair height adjustment has been mishandled at some point, and now the edges are sharp, so gloves may be necessary to adjust it. Once height is set, it's great, but it's by no means in mint condition. Also, if the chair ... moreis lifted upwards,it will slide off the base. Overall. Davis Allen for DoMore Superior construction solid wood credenza in Oak or American Hardwood 88" x 20.25" deep& 26" tall. Custom made for Ashland Oil. Hard to find length. Perfect for office or home study. People who purchased our others ones rave about the quality. Construction and functionality. DoMore which was purchased by Steelcase employed some of the greatest designers to have ever worked. Such as Jens Risom, Bill Stephens& Davis Allen who was within Knoll at the time they released their famed office credenzas. Davis Allen is considered one of the greatest industrial designers of the period. He performed a number of designs also for Stow Davis along very similar lines as this model. FEATURES: The quality of this credenza is second to none. Besides having a substantial weight(250-300 pounds) associated with it ... moredue to the use of very hard woods and the use of solid block lumber. The credenza features superior construction in the draw mechanics and pulls ensuring this credenza will last as long as any other made. Hidden drawers(two) are revealed when the sliding door is moved to the left. Flawless smooth movement of the drawers on heavy duty mechanics. Edged surfaces of solid wood means"veneer" chips can't happen. The drawers are spotless. The wood is in premium condition with so few marks upon it that we will say it is vintage condition and it is display quality. Metal handles. Exposed drawer can handle hundreds of pounds of weight(books. Ceramics, etc. steel inserted edging on the sides and front. Completed back- not"board" excellent. Floating styled legs gives the right side a floating feel allowing objects for placement belong without obstruction. This cabinet and all four we have each feature adjustable feet for leveling.
