Rare. Red. Really! Red was a custom-ordered color only. Armchairs are seldom offered for sale( when was the last time you saw one. at all? But here you have this brief opportunity to make a Big Decision and assume stewardship of this vintage, iconic beauty. It's in the exact same condition it was in when I bought it 20yrs ago and is as follows: Bright. Vivid, primary red hue is factory original with copious visible fibers and clear coat intact. Original zinc base with the rear leg option angled so as to keep the chair rim from hitting the wall has the original glides. Rubber mounts and bolts are original. Herman Miller" is embossed on the underside as it should be. Running your fingers along the potato-chip rim of the circumference reveals some"flea bites" common to this chair, but only in one spot(pics#7& 8) does it ... moreaffect the overall contour of the shell- and it's a pretty minor little"dent" you have to be looking for it. On the seat(pics#9& 10) some idiot left an irregular scratch, and two tiny chips that I long ago filled in with acrylic(it may have darkened a shade- easy to re-do) and, again, you have to look for it to be revealed in a certain light-reflecting angle-blame the shiny gelcoat! That's it! No apologies here! If you expect showroom perfection from vintage items you covet- good luck inventing your time machine! This item was used but not abused! While in my care it was loved and protected. Serious collectors who know what this treasure is all about are encouraged to snap this right up without delay(it bears repeating now- when is the last time you saw one.when do you think you'll see one again? Made in 2007. This award-winning Herman Miller Mirra Chair has performed dutifully for 7 years, and can be expected to last at least 7 more. The chair features two adjustable arm rests. An adjustable lumbar support, a seat length modifier, and a height adjuster. All this on top of 4 wheels. Making it easy to slide around. But be warned, the chair is very heavy to lift! There are no issues with this chair- I'm getting rid of it because it does not help to alleviate my lower back pain as I originally thought it would. I have switched to sitting on a piano bench. Where I actively engage my own posture. The chair is comfortable. And those without preexisting back problems will absolutely love it. For auction is one original vintage Herman Miller Eames fiberglass shell chair with the non-swivel pedestal base. It features a grayish-beige fiberglass shell with beige vinyl/naugahyde upholstery. It is in excellent overall condition The foam and vinyl are in great shape. No split seams. But there is one tiny nick in the vinyl at the edge of the seat(pictured) There are also some pale stains on one side of the seat, which barely register in the photographs. The aluminum base has been cleaned and polished but still has a few dark oxidation spots that are common to these vintage bases. The entire chair has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed. There are also some fine, whitish scratches on the back and a quarter-sized scuff toward the bottom left, but nothing more than what is obvious in the photos. This is an armless adjustable Herman Miller Aeron chair in graphite gray. The mesh is in good shape. But there is some rub wear to the plastic. It's pictured so you can determine its condition. It is marked Herman Miller on the top of the back. I believe this a size C, large. Its measurements are 20 inches wide for the seat itself, the back piece itself measures 21 1/4" wide x 24" high and overall(as it currently sits) the chair measures 40 1/4 inches. Listed for sale is an all extremely rare and all original Eames rope edge fiberglass arm shell in lemon yellow with an original X base. Enlarged shock mounts, original screws, and original washers. The chair was manufactured by Zenith for Herman Miller and is one from the earliest generation of Eames armshells. The rope edge was discontinued after a short period of production due to the added expense of an additional step in the manufacturing process. The shell has not been cleaned heavily and thus could be made to look flawless if so desired. The current state is absolutely original. It has also never been worked on or coated with anything. Super Rare Eames Evans Herman Miller 1940's LCW Slunk Skin / Pony Lounge Chair
Listed for sale is an all original Eames LCW by Evans lounge chair in excellent condition with an extremely rare and original slunk skin cover. The chair is all original. With shock mounts that have been replaced during its life. The chair has acquired a beautiful patina and retains the original finish. The finish itself has held up well, with clear signs of use, but no chips or notable damage. Only minor scratches are evident. In terms of hardware, the chair has the Evans 5-2-5 setup as well as the original writing from Evans seen on the underside of the chair. Listed for sale is a 1958 Eames aluminum group lounge chair with ottoman. The lounge chair and ottoman both have Patent Pending stamps. Indicating that it was produced in the first year that the design was manufactured. It is in phenomenal condition for its age with original charcoal naugahyde and black enameled arms in perfect condition. The chair and ottoman are an original matching pair that are in the most iconic upholstered configuration with the charcoal naugahyde and black arms. It is also the taller, tilt/swivel version of this chair. Its mechanism still functions perfectly and shows no cracks or separations in the aluminum. The naugahyde shows little to no wear, aside from the front sides, which simply appear to be worm slightly more heavily. It has the original herman miller stamp imbedded within the aluminum seat bracket and reads"Patent ... morePending. This pair came from the office of a department head at Harvard University. It has some superficial scratches on the chair. Very slight staining on the seat. Very cool. I also have the original aluminum group tilt base on ebay as well. There are tutorials online on epoxying the seat and gluing the classic rubber grommets on the bottom if you wanted a smooth original look it looks easy to do. I will just leave it to you to decide. WITH EIFFEL TOWER WELDED STEEL WIRE BASE ON PLASTIC PADDED FEET. It measures 30 3/4" in height x 18 3/8" in width(seat) x 10" in width at the top of the backrest. It's 17 1/2" to the top of the seat from the floor and it has a seat depth of 17. This vintage chair is in'as found' condition. It came as a pair. Along with another original vintage'smoke-grey' Herman Miller fiberglass shell side chair. That chair still has the affixed Herman Miller paper label attached underneath the seat. The Herman Miller paper tag has come off the parchment colored chair but the area where it was attached is obvious. As there is still glue residue. The original, completely ... moreauthentic, iconic Herman Miller Eiffel Tower welded steel wire base is in very good overall condition. With all welded joints intact and sturdy. The base still has its original factory silver spray paint and there is some rubbing and thinning of this paint film over the steel wire in a few areas. The Eiffel Tower base is also missing one white plastic padded, snap-on tabbed feet. These can be readily purchased online or directly from Herman Miller in Michigan. The other 3 plastic feet are present. The'parchment-colored' Herman Miller fiberglass shell is in good condition with very nice surface and clean edges. There is however. A 1" break coming in from the right edge right at the place where the fiberglass form turns upwards. It's not a fatal break but it's there and is the only real strike against the chair.
