This is an elegant Dyrlund Super Skyline executive desk in teak(or perhaps walnut or other hardwood) and made circa 1960's or 1970's. It is marked with the Dyrlund labels made in Denmark on the base and top as well as the gold Dyrlund logo inside the drawer. I do not know the designer but it is in the style of Harvey Probber. This is a very high quality desk and is VERY expensive if new or restored. It is a statement piece and is in very good overall condition but the finish has faded and has scratches mostly on the top and other superficial wear. It also has some small dents on the top and sides and some scratches around the drawer area. There is a chip along the bottom in the front and one towards the side that has been repaired. This is a magnificent solid oak 3 piece executive office set. The desk has 6 drawers in front and 3 slide out writing or work areas. One on each side and one on the back. The desktop is 36" wide by 72" in length. The surfaces on all 3 pieces are unmarred of any major damage. The credenza does have a wear mark on one corner that looks like it was rubbed against something. The mark is about an inch long. I didn't want to restain it as someone else may want to restore it differently. The credenza has 4 doors that click open for access to shelves. The book case is all oak also with wire mesh incorporated in the doors. All the hinges and drawers work smoothly and perfectly like new. The drawers are high quality ball bearing like you would expect from Alex Stewart Design. Just the desk by itself would retail for between $7000 to $9000. ... moreAll 3 matching pieces together would retail for somewhere around $12,000 to $15000 new.
