Onyx top and chrome base. Custom designed and bought from Bickel Design(I believe that was the name) at the Pacific Design Center in the early 80's. Made in the USA using a uniquely detailed, bullnosed slab of imported onyx atop a chrome steel base. The onyx top is 3' by 6' The top is double thick(bullnosed) and about 1 1/2" thick. The top of the desk with the chrome base is about 29 1/2" above the floor. One chrome front. Hardwood suspension drawer. Here I have a really great old desk from the 1960's. It has been in a garage for 20 or more years. With a lot of elbow grease it has come back to life. Walnut and walnut veneer. Six drawers with wood slots, off-set brass handles, tapered legs with built-in levelers, When middle drawer is closed it locks the side drawers, pull out shelf on main desk and of course the return for that wonderful old typewriter. Antique Oak High Back Swivel Banker’s Lawyer’s Executive Desk Chair Wakefield For sale is an antique oak high back swivel banker’s lawyer’s executive desk chair. It is pretty unique with the solid top backrest with scroll top corners. The base mechanism is marked H. B. W. Co. Heywood Brothers& Wakefield Company. That dates it from 1897 to 1921. Swivels and is on casters. This chair is in excellent condition with some minor chips along the left edge of the backrest and a small dark spot on the seat. There are a couple of places where the bolts/ screws need tightening. There are no splits or repairs to the wood. The base was removed at some point. Possibly at the time the chair may have been refinished. I’m not sure. When the base was reattached, new holes were used right in front of the original ones and unoriginal screws were used. There ... moreare also about 4 small holes in the seat bottom, 2 on each side. I don’t know what this was for. The seat is about 17 inches from the ground. The backrest is about 40 inches high. This chair was removed from a storage unit filled with the inventory from a New Hampshire antique shop. This is the last piece of oak furniture from the storage. The pieces were all in beautiful condition and excellent quality. Located in Irvine. CA. Pick up is free. Due to size, this chair will have special freight requirements. I can unscrew the base to make it smaller, but it will still be large.

This is a very rare and desirable all-metal chromed model of the Douglas DC 8 airliner. The DC-8 was Douglas Aircraft's first jet and was launched in 1958. The model is in excellent vintage condition- please refer to the photos. The base is excellent and the plane has fair amount of decal loss. There is a tiny bend to the tip of the vertical stabilizer(the fin that sticks up from the rear of the fuselage) shown in the last photo. The chrome is mostly still quite bright and shiny. Although it could use a good polishing. I would say it is in very good condition for a model that is over 50 years old! This model is a large size- over 10" long with a 10" wingspan.
