Beautiful Mahogany Desk with tons of details. Ball and Claw feet. Roping on the rim of the desk, fretwork all the way around; Both side doors open to 2 sliding drawers inside. This one has some rough spots on top; has been used, but great bones and sturdy, structurally sound; just minor cosmetic wear on top. On the front of the desk there is an open alcove where you would have a glass or wooden shelf to display items; I do not have the shelf that goes in there; but would be easy to get glass cut to go there. Parker '51 Executive Fountain Pen Desk Set - Medium Nibs - Model No. 236
Up for auction is a wonderful MCM Parker'51 Executive Fountain Pen Desk Set. The base is marble and there are two fountain pens with an aerodynamic looking design. The nibs are in very nice working condition. Both"fine" width nibs, with no splaying. One pen looks like it was used more often than the other. Why would you need two fountain pens side by side? One for Blue ink, and one for Black ink. The inside silver metal barrel reads"Parker'51 Special. An original sticker with"Model No. 236" and price list is still attached to the green felt attached to the bottom of the marble base, which shows the original $35.00 price! One very cool feature of this Executive Desk Set is that both pens attach magnetically to the base. Attached to the black plastic pen holders are round silver metal balls that are magnetic ... moreand stay very securely on the base. You would never even know they are removable. They contrast nicely with the brass colored squares attached to the marble base. With this design. You can turn the pens to all different angles- up higher, lower, further sideways, etc. You can also remove them completely off the base for cleaning. The black plastic pen casing looks better in person than in my photos. Which show up scratches that are not noticeable. There is one whitish mark on one of the pens about an inch and a half long that I wasn't able to photograph properly. It is not very noticeable. There are no cracks in the pen cases. The Ink bladders are in excellent condition, very pliable, and take 4 squeezes of ink to fill each pen. Nibs write smoothly. The marble is in very condition, no corners broken off or anything. There are a couple of small dings on the left-hand side of the marble when you are facing the front of the pen base, but they are not very noticeable(see photos 2 and 3) From a non-smoking home. Up for auction is a Sauder Harvest Mill Desk with Hutch and a Boss Executive Leather chair. They are both only six months old and where barely ever used at all. Sadly we don't have the room in our living room for them so we are getting rid of them. The desk is in abbey oak finish. It has cubby hole storage in its hutch area. Also has a large drawer on the bottom for either a desktop tower or more storage. Adjustable shelf inside. History: This Desk has been in my family since new. My parents lived in Europe from 1948 to 1982. I do not know what year it was made or purchased. The Desk is in great condition. The Desk has been in a smoke free home all the time. General: I have looked for any markings on the piece of furniture that might tell me who designed or made it. But could not find any. Measurements: 58in Width x 29in Depth x 28in Tall The Desk has 3 drawers on the left and 1 drawer on the right which is a file drawer. Condition: The Desk is structurally sound a true testament to the craftsmanship. The exposed teak has never been refinished showing the true durability of this wood. My father had put some stickers on the inside of the file drawer which I have not tried to remove. See the last picture. The file drawer rails on the left side are loose/striped and ... moreneed to be fixed. This still allows the drawer to slide in and out it is just crooked a little. The Desks teak could be refinished to bring back the original shine. I believe that some buyers like the"Originality" of this era's items and some like to have them restored. I will leave that up to the buyer. The left-side of the desk top has some water stains as if a drink had been spilled. One of them is a doctor with relatives that, we'll lets say they are high up on the ladder in there country the other person that I have talked to has passed away, he was elderly but enough wisdom for 10 of us. I do not have a certification or papers, but I can tell you that the people I talked to are from this country and are very intelligent and are very aware of the way the people from India live, work, and how items like the one I am selling are made and constructed. The only thing that might not be hand made would be the base, but as I see it I do think it was hand finished to match the globe. On the bottom of the globe in the pictures you can see there are two small holes in order to get the egg out of the shell. Of course the hole in the top was to blow contents thruout the shell, and then to mount it on the axis. The metal curve and the top piece that screws in, does not screw into the shell, it screws into the metal only, it sticks out enough to hold the top of the egg in place. They cannot put threads in the egg, number one they would wear off instantly and would not hold.because the egg shell would not hold threads like metal will. The bottom also just sits on the metal point to hold it in place. You cannot put theads into any egg shell to tighten down to hold, they will not last. Also if this is dropped it will shatter into pieces because of its age which they gave me an estimate 60 to 70 years or more.the egg would be brittle, but it was covered with a hardener and varnish in to keep the s

Ray was my next door neighbor. It was his personal desk and he sold it to me when he moved up north about twenty years ago. I just don't need it anymore. It's very well designed and solid as a rock. All the dividers in the drawers are movable for the user's convenience. You can see the slots in the photos. Here is the perfect desk top cigar lighter! Even if you don't play golf. It is just a great conversation piece. This is a vintage 60's example of Japanese ingenuity when it came to gadgets! They were hands down the best. Nice large item, measuring 5 5/8" across 5 3/4' tall, and with a life size 4 Iron. The ball is made of tin and is over sized obviously to conceal the mechanics of the lighter. Push the button on top of the Iron, and it activates and releases the cap and ignites the lighter. Executive Desk Clock. Ball Bearing Ramp Maze, Vintage ARROW, 1979, No Toy, Game
Very cool hard to find clock. Has a pendulum arm that spins down. Picks up one ball bearing and drops it at the top ramp. Ball goes into 5 minute rack. When that fills up, all balls but one go to the bottom. The other ball goes to the 10 min rack. When that fills up, all balls but one go to the bottom and the extra ball goes to the hour rack. When after 12 hours, all the racks are filled and when the last ball drops, it triggers dropping of all balls. You can read the time by how many balls are in the racks. I filled it up and triggered it and it worked great. I believe all the balls are there. You need to put one extra ball as a counter weight on each of the minute and hour racks. The 5 minute one has it's own weight. I haven't found another to compare it too. It's from 1979 and most are likely broken or missing parts. This one ... moreis in great shape and has all parts. Impressive Romweber Viking Oak 7-Piece Executive Desk Set
This is a really impressive desk set that I've owned for more than 30 years but have moved to a smaller home and need to sell. I purchased this when I owned a marketing company in Naples. FL, and wanted a desk set that said"success. I moved to Gulfport, MS, 20 years ago and had this in my home office in a very large house. I moved to a smaller house a few months ago and put the desk and credenza in storage and have the other pieces in a spare room. There is a desk, credenza, carved zodiac octagonal table, executive chair, arm chair, and two side chairs. The octagonal table has a top insert that I had redone in brown calfskin and I also had all four chairs reupholstered in buttery soft calfskin about 5 years ago. The leather is in perfect condition. The desk is a very heavy double pedestal and one picture shows a chip on the front ... moreand some slight separation at the bottom. One of the original drawer pulls was lost and replaced with a similar but not identical pull. The credenza is missing a little knob or something that went on the top where there is a slide hook to lower it for a book holder. The desk and credenza need a good oil polish or possible light refinishing as they've been in storage. A furniture repair shop can repair the separation at the bottom of the desk when it was moved. NY, this beauty was made by the National Desk Co. This American made 1910 Arts and Crafts period classic roll top desk is solid mahogany with the almost striped figured mahogany veneer and a superb satiny finish. In the left hand drawer is the original"stamp" of National Desk as well as a handwritten note with additional information. One of the previous owners wanted to make sure that any easily passed in reference to the company who built the desk would not be lost. There are manufacturing numbers on the desk. However, it is very difficult to locate a manufacturer with few clues. At the top of the ... moredesk is a great wide shelf and a wood gallery of sorts. All of this wood has fabulous grain! The C roll top glides open smoothly to reveal a wide expanse of work surface available as well as the small cubicles or pigeonholes and small drawers for papers. The cast brass knobs and inset brass pulls are original and there are three small brass knobs missing from the inside drawers. Additional work space is available on each of the top drawers which have"shelves" at the top of the drawers and underneath this flat work space is drawer space. There is one large file drawer and all of the drawers on the right side can be locked down. Drawers are dovetailed with drawers of mahogany and very deep to allow for lots of storage. The original brass feet protected the legs from when the floor was mopped. One of the drawers on the bottom reads"sample fruit( mahogany" for Joe 1879. With the patent date on the drawers of MAR. 1.10. I am not sure why the drawer appears to be dated earlier.
