Just back from a full professional restoration. Gleaming and and gorgeous and stunningly beautiful, the rarest and most highly sought-after of all Herman Miller mid century mod pieces; The Peter Protzman African zebra wood executive desk. This piece simply defies description; It is beyond amazing. Extremely rare. It was only manufactured in 1970 and 1971 by the Herman Miller Corporation out of bentwood African Zebrawood and chromed stainless steel curved bars. It has both keys that work smoothly in just-replaced new flush-mounted drawer locks. The entire piece was disassembled and fully cleaned and restored. It was a 7 week job at the best furniture restoration shop in the Southwest United States. Bruno's Furniture Repair. Tom Bruno, the owner, did the work personally. This is a Vintage Western Electric Stowaway Executive Rotary Desk Phone in Wood Box. It is in excellent condition or better. The wood case looks beautiful with no scratches. Cracks or blemishes. The retractable cord works perfectly. All the buttons work great. I don't have a land line so i cant test the phone fully but judging by the way it looks, it should work great. I will definitely take it back if it does not work like it should. There is some sticker residue on the beige plastic that should easily come off. This phone was a retirement gift from Ohio Bell to Paul Screechfield, who had 38 years of service. There is an engraved plaque that states this. This phone is a solid 9.5 out of 10. This is a fine mid-century modern style free standing teak executive writing desk made by Sigurd Hansen Mobelfabrik in Denmark. It was designed by renowned architect Svend Aage Madsen circa 1960. It is stamped on the underside of each drawer. The drawers are dovetailed. And the back of the desk has a shelf that can hold books so it can be placed in the center of a room. The desk measures 30 3/4" in height. 59" in width, and 28.5" in depth, it is in great condition. The item is listed as a local pickup. Beautiful Desk and matching Credenza from the Alma Desk Co. High Point N.C. Circa 1960's. Desk has 2 pull out working surfaces. 4 normal drawers and 1 file drawer. 72" W x 36" D x 28.5" H. Credenza has 2 sliding doors and 4 file drawers(very handy) 64.5" W x 18" D x 28.5" H. Bodies appear to be either teak or walnut. Original Formica tops are in very nice shape with only very minimal wear for their age. All drawers are built to last utilizing tongue and groove dovetail construction. They all lock and fully extend on metal guides. Chrome legs and hardware all look like new. Everything works perfectly. Original keys included. Vintage SET Stow & Davis Executive Walnut Leather Top Credenza 6 Legs + Desk
This is a gorgeous set. With no Stow& Davis label, but as far as I know they were the only furniture makers with the signature leather work top. The Credenza does need some light to medium refurbishing, as it was used in an office environment since it was made, but nothing too major(see all pictures) The original keys to the drawers are included. The desk needs some pretty heavy refurbishing. Message me for dimensions but on the top of my head I believe it is about 6 feet long, 2 feet deep, and 3 feet tall. I have the matching desk but that one needs more work. We would have to make arrangements for shipping, the buyer would pay.
