It has been carefully used and well maintained. And stored away the past several years. The last time I can remember using it was fall of 2011. At that time. I changed the ink ribbon cartridge; I wish I had more, but that was the last of the original 1987 vintage ribbons. This is a vintage electric. Portable typewriter from Sears; it is their Power Return Electric 10 Model 871-53690, Series S6SC. It types in pica which is 10 characters/spaces per inch. It is a very light grey or off white color on the top with a dark gray base and black tear-drop shaped keys. All functions work and it types nicely. It has neat ribbon covers and a conveniently located on/off switch right near the keyboard. Typewriter has 3 ribbon settings-1 for black type, 1 for making stencils, and 1 for red type(assuming you have that type ribbon installed) it will need a new ribbon soon. The ribbon in it now actually types in green and still works but will need to be replaced in the near future. It has single, double, and triple spacing capabilities along with some spaces in between. It also has 10 settings for pressure so you will get crisp ... moretype if you are making carbon copies(change the setting based upon how many copies you are making) It comes with a hard molded composite carry/storage case which measures 15" wide x 13" deep x 6 1/2" tall. Vintage Smith Corona SL 470 Electric Typewriter Model 5A Tested and Works!
When plugged in. All of the keys depress and mark properly; I test ran some printer paper through it, and there appears to only be a small amount of ink left in the reservoir. The back of the lid is bent slightly from the power cord pokes from under. The strip of foam that was attached to the underside of the front of the lid has been removed; it melted and began to crumble. So I removed the foam and cleaned the lid. A small amount of the crumbly bits fell into the keyboard, so I took the casing apart, and cleaned as best I could without damaging the innards. The outside of the lid has some scratches, as does the outside of the actual device, but these marks detract very little from its overall appearance.

This was the first successful electric typewriter in the US. And boy, is this thing heavy! Weighs approximately 38 pounds? The outer shell is very hard heavy steel. Still has the original power cord and plug. When I plug it in. It does NOT come on, but I don't know where the power switch is, or how it operates. It may work, it may not. Probably not? It will probably need a complete overhaul. It has some dust. So I know it needs cleaned. As you can see, some of the keys have a white residue, which is easily removed with a Mr. Clean Magic eraser. Vintage IBM Wheelwriter 3 Electric Typewriter Typewriters
This is a very nice IBM Wheelwriter 3 electric typewriter. I believe it was manufactured in the mid 90s. I've done nothing to it besides basic power up and key presses. But all keys are responsive, tabbing works as it should, and the included daisy wheel spins and presses. It does not come with a ribbon cartridge, but those are fairly easy to come across. Dusty outside and interior, but I will attempt to clean that before shipping it. Besides the expected cosmetic blemishes from years of professional use, this machine is in good shape. As I have no ribbon I can't be certain the daisy wheel movement is correct, so that bit is"as is" I don't see any obvious issues with it, though.

Vintage Green Smith Corona Coronet Electric Typewriter With Case
You are looking at a Vintage Green Smith Corona Coronet Electric Typewriter With Carrying Case. This typewriter still looks like new and is in very nice condition. This is a Pica style type typewriter. The case hold the typewriter locked in. There is also a key for the outside lock. Function- The motor runs nice. However whenever you attempt to type it doesnt completely follow through and sort of locks up. The pully connecting the typing mechanism locks up and it starts chattering. If you stop the motor and move the pully in reverse by hand it releases, and you can run it again. I think it is just been sitting too long, something seems sticky, but I dont want to mess with it too much and break something.

VINTAGE IBM TYPEWRITER EXECUTIVE ELECTRIC MODEL 42 1971
Vintage IBM Executive Electric Typewriter Model# 42 Ca. 1971 After closely looking over this typewriter. All the keys seem to work, and all but one of the tabs(margin relief is broken or disconnected) The typewriter powers up but is unable to advance the roller due to one of the grip bars being detached. It doesn’t seem to be broken but looks like it needs to be adhered back on within the typewriter. Since I do not know how to maintenance these typewriters, I left it inside where it should go. Since this bar stops the mechanism from rolling all the way to the left or right, I had to scotch tape the mechanism to the typewriter in order to ship it. The Pictures show the typewriter.
