this is a nice cute old set. it is a childs size roll top desk with the original matching chair. it is hard to have them both together in one place. the desk is stamped on the back paris mfg co no. 641 south paris. Me, u.s.a. the whole desk is 38 in. tall and 30 in. wide and 19 in. deep. the 2 drawers are 9 in. wide and 6 in. tall and 15 1/2 in. deep. the desk also has a pull out plain board. it has a chip on one corner on the underside left. the chair is 30 in. tall, the seat is 12 x 12 in. wide and the back of the chair is 14 in. high from the seat. the drawers and the roll top have the key hole covers but i don't have a key for this desk. roll top moves up and down fine. this set just needs a good sanding and refinishing to bring it totally back. sturdy not loose. this desk is more inches then allowed to go through fedex or the post ... moreoffice. so i am offering pick up. but if you are willing to pay the feeight cost for shipping then i will ship it freight. you will have to email me before bidding for a quote on freight. any questions please ask before bidding.

Vintage Oak Executive Desk -- Local Pickup Southern California (Chair Available)
This beautiful executive desk is in very good vintage condition. Everything works smoothly; the drawers pull out and close easily and the the desk is solid and stable. The desk top offers a very large work surface. The desk is made of solid oak with oak veneer on the desk top. The drawers have dove tail joinery. The size of the desk is 60" in length. 34" in width and 37" tall. The underside opening for the desk chair is 23-1/4" in length. There are three deep drawers on the left side of the desk. Each with a width of 26-1/4" The right side has a drawer on top and a file drawer underneath. The large center drawer has a pencil holder at the front. There are two pull out shelves on either side at the top. Please note that this listing is for the desk only. If you're interested in the chair as well. I also have that ... morelisted. It came with the desk but seems a bit low in the seat to me(the seat height is 18" The desk came from a Los Angeles company by the name of Conrac. Inc. When they closed one of their divisions this desk was sold and was owned by the same couple for over 30 years. The desk belonged to the manager who the wife reported to and she bought it when Conrac sold the office furniture. The third photo shows the back of the desk. As you can see. It's attractive and detailed on all sides, so you could situate it away from a wall. The sixth photo shows the underside of the desk. The last photo shows the underside of one of the drawers. The flaws which I've noted are as follows. And can be seen in the close up photos: 1. The fifth photo. Showing the right hand shelf pulled out, shows wear and scraping on the surface. 2. In the seventh photo you may be able to see some rippling in the veneer. It doesn't cover the surface of the desk top. But there are two areas where you can feel it if you run your hand over it. 3. Functions well, could have been releathered at some point. But hard to tell. In it’s first position the chair has an upright back and the arm rests are in the forward position. However, there is a slide on the front of the chair, which reveals a hidden foot rest, which adjust to desired comfort level. From there two metal levers under the leather arms rests(Pictured) can be depressed and the back of the chair will angle back almost 90 degrees to a lounge position. Depressing the metal levers also cause the arm rests to slide back and lengthen the rests. Everything slides smoothly and functions well. For auction is one original GF Goodform model#2157 in excellent original condition. The gray vinyl is original with nary a stitch out of place and no rips or tears. The aluminum has only minor scratches and wear from normal use. And has been cleaned and polished. All mechanical adjustments function properly, and the casters roll smoothly. The entire chair has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed and is ready for immediate use. It even has all four black rubber caps(two over the back pad screws, and two for the adjustable back pad resting posts.
