Early industrial drafting chair. Made of metal with a bent wood seat and backrest. The backrest has a wing nut and is height and pitch adjustable. The seat is stationary and has a width of 16 1/4" We were unable to find a label or manufacturer marking on this chair. It is similar to the Toledo chairs. Chair is 21" tall at it's lowest seat height and 24" tall at it highest seat height. The base has the original paint and the foot rests are stationary. Mad Men Era Mid-century All-Steel Desk, Cosco Hamilton Height-Adjustable Chair
Offered is an office desk and chair set right out of Mad Men. Desk is 1950s vintage with 3 drawers and a pull-out shelf for either writing space or a typewriter( Measures 45" wide by 30" deep by 29" high.Manufactured by All-Steel Company in Aurere. Illinois(See Pic 4) Steel sheet metal all around. Red body and off-white top. Drawers glide in and out perfectly. Notice the legs- the angled legs on the left side and the shroud on the right side- all with threaded glides to adjust for the height on uneven floors. Cover plate on the front. The chair is made by Cosco-Hamilton Company in Galatin Tennessee. There is a sticker and an ink stamp on the bottom. Vinyl seat and back rest. Both seat and back rest are height-adjustable, and the back rest can be moved in and out to accommodate for small or large users(See pic 11) Chair rolls ... moreon casters, and has scuff plates on the base legs. Both desk and chair are in remarkable condition considering when manufactured- what wear there is would be entirely appropriate for their age. Some minor scratching, some visible wear on the sheet metal case next to the top drawer, but if someone didn't point it out, you might never notice. VINTAGE TRAMP-ART TYPE DOLL DESK AND CHAIR with swivel seat and real drawers!
This adorable little desk has been in my collection since 1982. It was made by the father of a lady who used to babysit my son.she was in her 60's back when I acquired it from her in 1982. It is 6 3/4" tall. 6 5/8" wide and 3 5/16" deep. The chair is 5" tall and it swivels. The desk and chair appear to be made from 1/4" plywood with a varnish finish. The drawers all open and close freely. The drawer fronts and interiors appear to be solid wood, like pine for the drawers and mahogany( for the drawer fronts. I have not done anything to the finish, barely dusting it as you can see! I can't believe I'm willing to part with this one-of-a-kind piece, made in Montana, probably in the 1920's. If I keep typing I may convince myself to keep it, though it has been in storage for about 20 years, in a smoke-free ... morehome. A very fine antique. Circa 1890s, quartersawn oak large office"S" rolltop desk, with added quartersawn oak swivel chair, circa 1920. The desk is unsigned, but probably by the George Cobb Co. New York City. The desk can easily be disassembled for handling and shipping. The cubbyhole is quite extensive, with oak drawer knobs, and brass name plates. The quartersawn oak roll is in working order and retains the brass escutcheon, the removed lock present but needing a locksmith to add the key. The desk is raised paneled all around, the case drawer front pulls carved. The drawers retains most of their dividers. The desk measures 4'2" 50" tall by 5'5" 65" wide by 3'2" 38" deep. These were in my sister's collection. As far as I know. They are all original with oak wood, and the finish, leather seats and tacking on them, I think is all original. These chairs have partial tags on the bottom of the seats and I looked up the information and found they were made by the Barber Brothers Chair Co. which manufactured these from 1903-1911, with the main office in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1911 they merged to form the"Grand Rapids Bookcase and Chair Co. which later became Lifetime Furniture. Prior to forming their own companies, the brothers were involved with other Grand Rapids companies. The chairs are sturdy and don't wobble or seem loose. They measure 17 1/2" across front of seat and taper to 15" across back of seat. And 17" from front to back of seat. They are 18" from floor to top of ... moreseat, and 36 1/2" from floor to top of post on the back. From top of seat to top of back they are 19" The leather seats are coarse-grained leather hides, with exposed tacks. They seem to have been well-taken care of original chairs. I am selling these 7 pieces of Price Products small furniture. I am thinking they go into a doll house but I am not sure as I have never been around any doll houses. Several of the pieces have a sticker on them that says"Price Products" on it. They are made of wood and appear to have been assembled piece by piece. There is a chair. 2 fireplace mantles, a side table with wheels on it with a drop leaf side bars, a fully lined travel trunk with a shelf in it and a grandfather clock. Victorian Antique Carved Mahogany Side Desk Chair, Roses, Pink
I believe this is an older Carlton McLendon Victorian reproduction piece. But I do not have a label. The mahogany carving is particularly well done compared to newer reproductions. I had the chair re-holstered years ago, but it was used very little, so it's in great shape. Fabric is a vintage design in dusty pink. Very classic looking. A minor issue is that the fabric was set slightly too low at the top of the back(front) which exposed a sliver of less finished wood. This is not a use issue or general appearance issue. Chair is beautiful. Sturdy and in Very Good condition. Chair is pretty from the back and front! This would make a great desk chair, vanity chair or bedroom side chair. The finish would be easily restored. I would guess that the chair arms scrapped the underside of a desk- as the wear marks agree with this description. The information I found came from the Hickory Public Library of North Carolina and an original furniture exhibition catalog. I found no other offerings of this chair anywhere on the Internet. Nor are there many pieces of the Original Boone Trail Collection available for sale, or indeed, even cited on the Internet. Antique Oriental Asian Teak and Rosewood Heavily Carved Knee-Hole Desk w/Chair
This is an antique Asian knee-hole desk with chair is made of Teak and Rosewood. This was purchased at a container auction and I wanted the other pieces plus I have no where to display this desk. The carvings are around the entire desk(except back which sits against the wall) and several dimensions deep. Carvings are on each end. Front, top(comes with protective glass top) and inside knee-hole area. I am guessing the trim was broken off during shipment as it was shipped with the glass still on the top. A local antique dealer suggested it was made around the 1940's. There are a few chips and nicks that I believe happened during shipment from other pieces rubbing against it. It appears the back of the desk was repaired at one time and they did a poor job matching the desk but it does sit against the wall. I was shocked to find this was ... moreshipped from Asia without any protective wrappings on the furniture and surprised to find it in such great shape.
