Here we have 1960's pre-owned chrome plated desk top perpetual flip calender with month day and date. Measures 2 3/8 inches tall and 1 3/4 inches wide and 1 7/16 inches deep. Calendar has an engraving on both sides that reads. 374th FLD. MAINT. SQDN. and on the base is an enameled shield that reads CELERITER PUGNARE which means quick fights in Latin. This may have been from a military base of sorts in the sports division. Calendar works great and has scuffs on the bottom and some surface scratches. No rust spots or bubbling of any sort, good polishing would shine it right up. White parts are a tiny bit yellowed from age. Avery cool piece. Here is a metal easel back desk calendar showing a Mountie on horseback. With the words"Royal Canadian Mounted Police" arched across the top of each face of the calendar. It has a swivel date holder, just turn it to flip the next day down. The frame is in the shape of a horseshoe and is painted black, with just a couple of tiny spots where the paint has rubbed off. There are a few very small rust spots on the circular piece that surrounds the Mountie picture and spins, and on the metal easel wire. Other than that, the calendar is in good condition and measures about 4" high. It has a paper"Made in Japan" label on the back. Except for the Japan label, everything is metal. I'm pleased to offer you this Vintage german desktop calendar with a mechanism To set the first number of the date there is a metal dial in back. Once the date is set the calendar is pushed back each day to add the next day. It seems to work fine. There is a metal slot in front and I'm guessing that is a slot for the month.
