Bundy Tenor Saxophone. Selmer, USA, Serial#681XXX, circa 1976. This is a student model horn originally designed for playing in a marching band for school settings. Gold lacquer is about 100% with nickel keywork. Few scratches on the back of the body and bell, and on the bottom of the bow. Small dent on the side of the neck and on the bell below the logo. Some wear on the pad cups and on the strap ring but this horn is in good overall condition. The springs, rollers, and finger pearls are in good shape, and the bumper felts are new. This horn is playable with no leaks or other mechanical issues and plays with a nice full sound. This horn also has all of the original"Adjusta-Pads" in it that were featured in some of these horns from this era. Unlike a traditional leather pad, the"Adjusta-Pad" is a rubber disc attached to ... morea metal disc that is free to rotate on a spring inside the pad cup, so that the pad is self leveling and self sealing, helping to eliminate leaks and increase playing ease. All of the pads and keywork are original. Other features include a front F and an articulated G# pinky cluster. This horn does NOT have a case or mouthpiece. 1950 Buescher Series III Aristocrat Tenor Saxophone-Overhauled
This is a great Buescher Series III 156 Tenor sax. Serial number is 331404 which puts it around 1950, not much original lacquer, but it looks beautiful stripped down to the brass. This horn sounds amazing it has a great rock sound that fits really well with a metal mouthpiece like an Otto Link. The pads are fairly new and were only used as far as a few practice sessions. The horn retains all of the original snap in style pads. Also all of the original gold plated Norton springs are present and the key response feels really great throughout the stack. The original neck shown plays very well but I have also included a Buescher 400 neck which came with the saxophone. The case is original. DC Pro nickle and brass tenor saxophone
You're bidding on a used nickle and brass DC Pro tenor in very good condition. After years of playing alto. I bought this tenor last year used because I'd had good luck with another sax I bought new from Dominic's Music. Since buying it I had it lubricated and a couple of adjustemnts made. It seems to play very well now. I enjoyed this tenor so much that I bought a used Yanagisawa T991(same model as my alto) for a lot more money. I'm just an intermediate player, but I've been surprised at how closely this sax plays to the Yanagisawa, which is one of the top models out there, and this one looks a lot better. Otto Link Double Ring nearMint Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece 6 Jazz History w/VIDEO
Here is something we don't see everyday; Otto Link Double Ring Florida Super Tonemaster 6. This is ALL original. 99% original gold plating, original facing, original tip and rails etc. There are a couple of nicks on the piece, and a tiny bit if plating wear on the rails, but that's IT. It is a near mint condition double ring, like returning to 1955( and buying a brand new Otto Link. This tip measurement is very accurate for a 6 of this period, around.090. I say"near mint" only because if you were to look at it with a microscope you would see some ligature abrasion and a couple of nicks. For all intensive purposes it is MINT as it gets for the mid 1950's. The biteplate is in very good condition. Serial number has an"E" prefix on the side. Included in this deal(for the moment) are the original ligature. Cap and ... morebox. This ligature particularly, is unique. It looks at first glance like all the other FL double ring ligatures, with the metal chimney supporting the screw. However, at second glance(and it took my a moment to notice this myself) the reed plate is probably 3 times thicker than the normal FL Ligatures. I cannot say why this is, but this particular ligature is very sturdy with a heavy reed plate. The cap, well it is the cap as it should be, and the box says 6 as you will see. Before me this was played a*little* bit and I have played it a little as well. But it is still pretty darn fresh in the box. It is a middle of the road(dark/bright) player for an Otto Link FL. Double Rings are darker and warmer than later FL's anyhow and this is about normal, although it does have some nice strength to the sound, a bit of power and buzz on top. This piece came in the case of a 1957 MK VI belonging to: Lowell"Count Red" Hastings. A member of Louis Jordan's band and featured on many other recordings as well. I am imagining this piece was purchased at the end of his career and not really used much, as the horn was also in nice shape, and most of his photos show him playing

It was an original 6* and measured a.099 when I got it but the facing was off so I sent it to Brian Powell and he did his magic- it is now a 7* This has the slant profile but with a higher floor and perfect clamshell baffle that these are known for. You can see the engraving"BP.105" on the side. Comes with a vintage Selmer Ligature and cap. Powerful. Clear and vibrant and very reed friendly. Brian's work is second to none and this is one of the great ones!

1946 King Zephyr tenor saxophone all original custom restoration done by Mark Vandermark saxophone specialist with 30 years in the repair trade and 15 years hand engraving. This instrument was chosen specially for restoration because experienced saxophonist know this vintage King plays extreemly well with great intonation. Powerful tone and very comforable keyworks. When the restoration was started the horn's finish was poor.The old lacquer was remove. Very elaborate hand engraving done to body.Bow and keys also inside the bell. A modern thumb hook has been installed for more comfort too. Custom key raisers on side and palm keys. The instrument was NOT machine polished and the metal reveals vintage wear marks underneath the lacquer. The brass was chemically cleaned then hand polished before the new lacquer was applied. The brass tubing ... morethickness is exactly the same as it was in 1946 this insures the instrument's respone and timber remains unique. This horn was found in very good physical condition there was little dentwork needed and no solder work needed. Stored unused for decades it needed new pads.It has been repaded with Black Roo pads and we installed vintage brass selmer pad resontors throughout keeping the ratio of metal to leather even top to bottom. The keys and neck have a special dark finish. Then I engraved the key cups so the brass shows well through the clear lacquer applied on the keys and neck. It comes with solid wood case.You can bid with confidence on this horn I played it on at least 10 gigs then tweeking the touch with special felts to quite the mechanism and installing hand made cork key raisers coated heavily with cleay epoxy coating for long wear. Selmer MK VI Tenor Saxophone 1956-57 Excellent Sound 67xxx Original Laq. W/VIDEO
Welcome to bid on a vintage Selmer MK VI tenor saxophone made in 1956-57. This is the real thing here. The lacquer finish is original and in nice shape. This horn has the sound and response that many are looking for. This particular horn has a phenomenal sound and response. While it is cosmetically challenged in some areas the tone itself beats many of the very pretty Selmers I have had here. I cannot say enough about the sound of this. Hard to describe, but I would say it is slightly on the bright side, has quite a bounce and punch to the delivery, and plenty of warmth. It feels exactly as a late 60xxx Selmer should. As you can see from the photos. This horn has been played. There are dings and minor dents, but they should all roll out smooth with the right attention. Some dings on the bow and the bell lip has some too, all will straighten ... moreout, I don't have time to do this one. A couple of key guards look like replacements to me, but they are Selmer parts, see the photos. The neck is not original. But is how I received it with the horn. The serial number of the neck is 70xxx and feels and sounds to me like a perfect match for the horn. Sometimes even a great playing neck will not exactly feel right with a particular horn, but in this case, it is a great neck and feels perfect for this instrument. Original Trey-Pack case included in old and rough condition. The pads are older but currently playing and in need of regulation. Any buyer should figure that they will have an old horn like this set up to their preference. This does play as you can see in the video. But it is a bit rough and needs pad work. It will be amazing with a pro setup. This beautiful instrument will be sold AS IS. Needing setup and just exactly as you see it in the photos. I try my best to describe what I see, and while there is nothing to hide, some tiny details may be missed. This is a Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone that I've owned for 35 years. It's a great playing horn and I know you will enjoy playing on it. I've just gotten to the point in my life where I'm more of an alto player. And my professional days are few, plus I have some hand pain issues that the tenor brings out more than the alto. I took this horn on the road with the Larry O'Brien Glenn Miller Orchestra from 1996-98. It comes with the Selmer flight case and no mouthpiece. I had this horn regularly serviced over the years by good repairman. I can see two broken solder points around the C key guard. There was also some tone hole damage and repair at the same spot. The repair work was professionally done and doesn't affect the playing. This horn might need a few pads and a tune up, but it plays top to bottom as is without ... moreany issues, to me at least. I am selling a few mouthpieces that were in the case of a 1960 King SilverSonic Tenor that I recently purchased. All of the mouthpieces were purchased in the 1960's While all are great vintage pieces. I prefer to play on more open pieces, so these are available for sale! This one is in good shape for its age. It has the normal surface scratches you might expect from a 50 year old mouthpiece. But tip table and rails are in good shape. The biteplate shows some scratching, but no tooth indentations. The rails are particularly thin on this one. It has a quick response and is a good balance between dark and bright. With the ability to go in either direction. We know that this is what you could call a"guilt free re-lacquer" The tech who overhauled and refinished this really great playing Mark VI had respect for the instrument, and the skill to do it right. First and most importantly, this horn has not been buffed. Instead, he hand polished it which removed only the tarnish and no metal. Second, he had the engraving touched up anywhere that normal handling had softened the cuts. He then wafted one light coat of lacquer over the body and bell, but not the keys, leaving them original. The result of all this care and concern is the wonderful instrument you see here. I recently bought 3 different facings of these and have ended up settling on a 7* so this one is up for grabs. I bought this one from"SelmerFudd" here on ebay last month and only ended up playing it for about an hour. Condition is near perfect, probably better than a"new" one that has been tried at a music store a bunch of times. I only played it with a clear patch on it. It does have a couple of light scratches under the patch but barely noticable and no indentation at all. It has almost all of its honey gold original lacquer intact. With just some minor wear on some rods and touch pieces. It has a fresh repad that was done well, and it plays great, with a big voice! There was a small ding that was removed from the neck and done well(see closeup photo below) as well as a couple of other very small dings on body tube that were removed. Compared to a vintage ... moreSelmer(everyone always asks this) the tone is fairly similar. But it has a bigger sound, a slightly different but still French core(impossible to describe) and similar ergonomics(but the RH is a bit more spread than a VI, for instance, but only by a hair) It has a medium-dark core, on the tonal spectrum. Intonation is very good. If you like modern ergonomics, you're interested in a more vintage tone, but you don't want to have something that's totally different from modern, and you don't want to spend a ton) then the Buffet SDA could be what you want to get! I have read online a few times that Buffet tenors supposedly cannot be played at loud volumes. And I honestly have no idea what people are talking about. This horn has a far bigger sound than most Selmers(except maybe the BA) and it won't back down if you want to play loudly. Conn 10m'Naked Lady' Tenor Saxophone This is based in London. So no expensive shipping duty or VAT in the EU! This auction is for my prized 1936 Conn 10m'Naked Lady' a.k.a. Lady Face) tenor saxophone. Serial 274082. Yes. This has the mythical rolled tone holes, and yes, they do make a difference to the sound! The horn was relacquered at some point in its life. And it has a few marks here and there commensurate with its age, but it's in good condition, having been regularly maintained by both Howarth's and Sax.co.uk during my ownership. There are a few small indentations/marks on the crook/neck, but nothing that impacts on playability- see photos for details. Please note that the pearls are non-original plastic replacements, similar to those used on a modern instrument. It has the classic 10m sound- deep.
