This is a vintage Buescher Aristocrat tenor sax in good playing condition with serial#27106x, which I believe dates the horn to 1935. This is my last vintage tenor sax and I'm selling because I'm a senior citizen and have stopped playing entirely. This was my favorite tenor and I preferred it to my Conn 10M and Buescher 400. It has been the most versatile tenor for my(double) embouchure. It played with ease for me with any mouthpiece. It had the sweet Buescher sound up high and when I needed volume and lows I found it to be a match for those horns with larger bells, plus, I preferred the key action of this one. There are no dents to speak of, only some minor dings in the bottom area. I was a player, not a tech, but I think all the pads are the domed snap-in type. ... moreThe pads are old but have held well for me. It doesn't seem to have been re-lacquered but I cannot be positive. If it has been re-lacquered it was very long ago, as I've had the horn for three decades and the lacquer was old and darkened even when I purchased it. There exists typical wear on the keys and some minor pitting in places. Please note that the key guards are the older type as opposed to the ribbon type used on later Aristocrat models. The engraving/garland is in good condition and I would guess the lacquer retention to be about 95% The neck is in good condition with one minor little ding and not much pitting for its vintage. The case is older and a little over sized in height. I think it is the original case but I am not positive. Somebody long ago added belt functionality on the inside to better secure the horn in the case and I've always kept a piece of felt between the horn and the belt when securing it. Up for sale is a 1970 Selmer Mark VI mark 6 Tenor Saxophone 180xxx Original Lacquer. This is a great playing Saxophone. I played all through college and on multiple gigs when I played for a living and it’s always been tried and true. This Selmer Mark VI plays great as is. And is ready to go. Also included is the original case(in fair condition for a 43 year old case) It also includes neck strap and 2 metal mouth pieces(An Auto Link Supertone Master 5*and an Arnold Brilhart 4* both with all hardware and covers as seen in pictures. The Arnold Brilhart 4* has a spot where teeth have worn down into the composite but it plays fine. In 2000 this saxophone spent some time with the awesome technicians at the Saxophone Shop of Illinois for a complete overhaul(everything kept original of course) where I had a set of Silver Reso Tech Resonators installed ... morealong with kangaroo skin pads. The kangaroo skin pads are still in good shape with the exception of a few pads on the lower keys which have been replaced with standard pads during routine maintenance over the years. This is an excellent playing instrument in very good condition that has participated on many sessions and recordings. It has quite excellent intonation and is very mouthiece friendly. Pads are not brand new but they still seem to have plenty of life in them and it has been regulated by very good technician. Stein Lien in Trondheim. It has some mods to make the keywork more ergonomic and feels great. LH palm keys have been extended(Eb) and slightly raised(D) although not high enough to bother those with small hands) an oleg bis extension has been added so the bis key is now extreamley comfortable, and a modern adjustable RH thumb hook has been added. The RH stack has had the superfluous antequated trill key removed and the small pad that is associated with ... moreit has as a cork wedge, in order to make the right hand stack more positive and agile. In my opinion the keys are as modern and ergonomic as one should ever need. And this horn provides the best of vintage saxophone sound with a setup that rivals many modern instruments. Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone 154k - Original Lacquer - GREAT PLAYER!
You are bidding on a Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone. 154k serial number. Original lacquer. Original Neck. Missing quite a bit of lacquer. And some small dings, but nothing that affects the sound. This horn is a GREAT player. I cringe thinking of selling it. But I have two tenors right now, and I have to sell one. Vintage Concord Tenor Saxophone (Kolwerth - Schenkelaars)
Vintage Concord Tenor Saxophone in very good. Used condition. I did a little research and Concord saxophones seem to have body work by Kolwerth, with keywork and assembly by Schenkelaars. It is a quality instrument with rolled sound holes and mother-of pearl finger dots. It also seems to be a large instrument, measuring almost 30" long without the gooseneck. Everything seems to work. The only issues I noticed are that there are some dents on the gooseneck and that two of the mother-of-pearl finger dots have come loose. They are present and will be included, just need to be reglued. All the vales have pads. All the keys work. Only minor corrosion. I don't see any dents on the body, only on the gooseneck. The good folks at TenorMadness have been putting a lot of work into developing a new saxophone for several years now. And when one came up for sale, I just had to get it just to see what was up. Randy at TenorMadness generously offered to do a setup on this horn, together with adding the various improvements that he has been developing over the last year or so. That work is just completed, so this horn is just like the current TM Customs now. This particular horn was bought by a fairly picky guy who made three trips to Iowa and played every horn they had. Picked the best one, and then matched it with a neck, trying ... moremultiple necks(he said around 40 different ones) before settling on this particular combination. It does play very well, with a darker, more spread tone than most other modern horns of its ilk. The neck seems to add some real Selmer-like complexity to the tone that really adds some density to the core of the tone(which can be missing on something like a Cannonball, for instance) It also TUNES better than most other modern horns of asian origin, and this is pretty crucial for classical and small ensemble work. The pad work is very good. As expected. Randy spends most of his time these days setting these horns up. This job amounts to something close to a full overhaul in most cases, and it leaves the horn in truly top playing condition. This horn ships in the original case in great condition. If you're looking for a modern horn with an interesting tone and a top quality setup, this would definitely be worth trying out!

VINTAGE 1960's BUESCHER TENOR SAXOPHONE, ORIG. NO RESERVE!! 3 DAY AUCTION!!
This is a vintage 1960's Buescher tenor saxophone. The serial number is 4148XX which according to the website I checked. Dates it to the mid-1960's. It says Buescher on the roller key cluster(see photo) There is no engraving on the bell and I'm guessing it had the Buescher decal which has worn off. From what I have read online, they used the decal for a couple of years in the mid-60's. This sax is straight from an old estate. It's in good condition with several scratches. Wear and patina, but overall in good shape. There are normal nicks and pings but no major dents to the body. The rim of the bell is slightly bent(as is common) Lacquer is original. It's missing some of the felts but everything else appears to be intact. Keys seem to be functioning properly(some are sluggish) Pads are all intact but old. The keyguard ... moreon the lower back of the stack has one broken solder. I see no other broken solders. Original neck is intact but damaged(see photo) and will need repair. Again, this is straight from an old estate and I have not attempt to clean it other than to wipe it down with a soft cloth. Seriously, what else do you need! This horn is it(as far as Super 20s go) AND it's all original lacquer and in great condition! This was my primary horn for a long time. So it really is a great player! It can whisper to low Bb for sensual ballad playing or can tear it up in the stratosphere on some Rock and Roll! This horn needs absolutely nothing in the way of setup. The pads are in excellent condition and the corks and felts are all intact. The springs are still springy ... moreand have no rust and no seizures nor sluggishness in the keywork. It has a superb setup from one of the best technicians around. It's their top model, with the Malerne tulip motif. pinky cluster is configured between a conn and selmer.kinda. brand new case fits ... morethe tenor snug.has ZIPPER for security. very well padded inside. Sound: Nice. Heavy brass, passed the initial bell tap test right away. The keywork is fast and fluid, this horn is well built, very well built. Re-padded with plastic Selmer resos so the action is nice and tight. Easily one of the friendliest tenors I've picked up. Immediate warmth. Very flexible. When pushed the sound held together nicely and stayed dark,yet and this one really cooks. I recorded with it and I started to really fall for that sound. It's also really free-blowing, like I said, friendly. It's got a typically French sound, good soild core, sweet and toasty with lots of harmonics. If I had to compare it to anything else it really reminded me of a Comittee 2 Martin on the low end, but more, well, French like a Selmer Super. This horn has a natural lushness. some transcribed letters from Vito Pascucci which claims that R. Malerne was a foreman for Noblet in the early 1900's. And was in a band who's director was Georges LeBlanc. Also mentions that SML bought out Malerne in'75.So. There's a lotta interconnection there. You are bidding on a vintage CONN 10M"NAKED LADY" tenor saxophone. According to the serial#M271731 the saxophone was made in 1936 and it has rolled tone holes. The saxophone is in outstanding playing condition and its appearance is still very attractive. This is old re-lacquered horn and there are no major dents on the sax body but only some small size dings hardly noticeable. There are some scratches and lacquer tarnishes here and there but even so the saxophone is still very shiny and looks great. The instrument has all high quality new pads(Prestini Premium DS235) and corks professionally installed and fully adjusted. Vintage 1923 CONN C-Melody TENOR SAXOPHONE With RARE Micro-Tuner & Original Case
You are bidding on a beautiful vintage 1923 Conn C-Melody silver or nickle plated Tenor Saxophone in very good condition. The serial number is"109616" with a"C" above the serial number and a"L" below. As I mentioned above in the condition it needs new pads(at least one is missing) And the cork for the neck is gone too. It is complete with two mouthpieces. One has an"eagle" trade mark and the other just has the letter"C" An unique attribute to this saxophone is it has a"micro-tuner" on the neck that you screw in or out to tune the instrument. Vintage King Zephyr Tenor Saxophone ca. 1950 HN White VERY NICE
The serial number of 313xxx puts it at about a 1950. This one is in extremely nice condition. The silver plate is in excellent condition. So I would lean towards it having a replate. There is tarnish here and there. But I will leave that to you in case my polishing is less than ideal. I can't locate any pings. Dings, dimples, repairs etc. It looks great. It has the double socket neck. The keys work well. The pads are in great condition. The King case. I think original) is in a very solid"good" shape in and out. It has the dual handles. Vintage Mid-1950's H.N.White King Zephyr Tenor Saxophone
Here is a nice playing H.N.White King Zephyr tenor saxophone. Made in Cleveland, Ohio in the mid-1950's, serial number 336XXX. Recently overhauled with large, flat metal resonators with center rivets, this horn has that fast, snappy key action these vintage Kings are known for and can provide the new owner with years of dependable service. Factory gold lacquer appears original and has aged beautifully to a dark honey color over the years. Guess-timating 75% 80% remains. Inspect the few closeup photos of the bell engraving to convince yourself; viewing it in person I'm quite certain it's original. Has the triangular pants guard on the player's side of the bell, includes the factory lacquered brass end cap, and socket neck with matching serial number. There is one lightly creased area on lip of bell about an inch and a half ... morelong-upper left, as you look straight at the bell flare head on, but it is not pronounced and you have to look for it; bell viewed from side shows nothing noticeable or out of round, so it's really more cosmetic and doesn't affect playability at all. Aside from that, there's little to criticize. The grip for the neck tightening screw was resoldered at some point, but holds firmly and tightens securely. Neck shows no signs of pull down and has been freshly recorked. Bottom of bow is pristine and bow guard ridge is prominent and almost razor sharp. Overall this is a very clean. Straight and wonderful representation of those really nice playing Cleveland vintage H.N.White King Zephyrs. Bird, Cannonball, Johnny Griffin& Yusef Lateef played Kings, to name a few.there's definitely something special about these old Kings! No case or mouthpiece included. Neck will be bubble wrapped and inserted into bell, then entire horn body will be wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap, centered carefully in a stiff cardboard box& copiously padded all around with styrofoam peanuts. My father bought it when he was young and passed it on to me. I have finally invested and bought me selmer so I'm afraid this has to go. The Saxophone has been re-lacquered in 2007 and polished recently. There are minimal scratches and dents and I tried to take as many photos as possible. The springs on them are new too and the valves have been replaced with Kangaroo Leather in 2007 during the re-lacquering procedure. The Sax has also been professionally leak tested and it just plays wonderfully. The bell is in pristine condition and the the keys are swift. As usual. Nice used Yamaha Intermediate tenor for pro or student! This horn will hold it's value for Resale in the future.Unlike buying a new student horn. Why not buy this one and you can resell it later for about what you paid? Much better quality than many Student horns that are available new! Drake Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece NY Jazz Vintage Resin #6 with Ligature and Cap
For sale is an Aaron Drake New York Jazz Vintage Resin handmade mouthpiece in a#6 size in perfect condition. Absolutely no bite marks or scratches. I always played it with a mouthpiece patch on it to keep it in great shape. It comes with the Aaron Drake ligature and I am throwing in a plastic cap also and has the original box. I bought it new in March 2012 so it's pretty new. It has a great sound and plays well all the way up and down the horn. A definite step up from any hard rubber mouthpiece I've ever played.
