The lacquer is about 85% and the neck has been pulled down and repaired. It's a nice original lacquer VI for a good price. 1929 Silver Plated King Tenor Saxophone
1929 Silver plated Model No 1006 King Tenor Saxophone. S/N 100669(Neck S/N matches body) The sax is in excellent condition given its age. With only minor scratches and normal wear to the plating on the palm and octave keys, and thumb rest. There are some minor divets in the neck along the top right side, and above the thumb rest. For as long as I have owned it, I have always been gentle, handling it only by the bell. It has a big, full sound, and I've never had intonation problems aside from low C and Bb. Although that could just be me. The saxophone also has a lyre attachment on the right hand side, and a G/G# trill key between keys 4 and 5. The Saxophone was completely disassembled. Meticulously cleaned, and completely repadded with all white Roo pads with large, flat nickel resonators back in November of 2012, and has been playing ... morelike a champ ever since! Also included is a Vandorean Java T75 mouthpiece with mouthpiece patches. Rovner inverted ligature and mouthpiece cap, 10 reed ProTec reed case. Weighted cleaning swab, black padded Neotech neck strap. And a silver polishing cloth. Note: It's case is another story. It's a hard big bag. And although it does an excellent job doing its job, protecting the instrument, it's received a few beatings, and the left side compartment doesn't zip. The buyer may want to replace it. We know this overhaul was done in 1973 because we found the label from Carrubba with the date on it. Carrubba was the lacquerer used by most players from the 1950s-1970s in NYC. This horn is a cannon! It has an incredible rich full tone through all the registers. It whispers beautifully as well. The action is great and all the keys are nice and tight. The serial number is 345161. Dating the horn to 1952. So what you have here is a 40 year old time capsule in need of a new home where she'll be played and loved forever. Keilwerth SX-90R tenor saxophone, 2 cases, mouthpiece, stand
This is a 12 year old SX-90R tenor that was used by a 40 year old advanced player for about three years in a community band and later in a 17 piece jazz band. I've moved on to other interests and no longer play it. This sax has a mellow tone with a bottomless low end(Keilwerth's trademark sound) that blends into the sax section with the Ponzol mpc which is included. Stand at the mic and belt out some Ben Webster. Put a brighter mpc on and peel paint off the walls. There is one minor chair ding that is too small to show in a picture. All of the keys and pads are in great condition. And the lacquer is 99% No kidding, it's in excellent condition. A stand, Ponzol mpc, the factory hard case and a black canvass hard-padded case are included. The SX-90R features rolled tone holes and is the flagship Keilwerth model lineup. Berg Larsen Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece - 130/1 Offset M
This Berg Larsen mouthpiece has a bright and powerful sound! The stainless steel duckbill mouthpiece is marked 130/1 OFFSET M. It has an"OPEN" tip opening and the tone chamber produces a nice"BRIGHT" edge. The OFFSET M is sought after by many players. The insert does have slight teeth indentation. See pictures. This mouthpiece has only been played a few times in the last 30 years. My college saxophone professor gave it to me in 1980. He regularly played in Chicago during that time. The condition of the mouthpiece has not changed in over three decades. I got this from an old pro sax player in Atlanta that used it on a Conn Naked Lady tenor just like Dexter Gordon played. It also plays great on a Mark VI. The mouthpiece measures just over 4" long. This is the Holy Grail of mouthpieces used by many pros. This piece is marked as a 7 and the tip opening measures about.98 on the tip gauge. A perfect size tip opening for modern players who need the volume and edge but yet a full bodied thick round sound that the Dukoff ... moreis known for. Here is what Theo Wanne has about them on his web site: Dexter Gordon played on a Conn 10m and a Dukoff BD Hollywood tenor saxophone mouthpiece during the Blue Note era until the mid-sixties. BD Dukoff Hollywood(1949) These brass mouthpieces were produced in two halves that were silver soldered together(much like the Otto Link. They had a large chamber and rounded inner side walls. Only about 200 of these mouthpieces were made. And. About 100 of these blanks were sold to Zimberoff, who produced a mouthpiece under their own name. The white bite-plates continued with these models. It has that nice rollover baffle that everyone looks for. You can really see it in the pictures. rails and tip are great with no cuts or gouges. Selmer Paris MK VI (6) Tenor Saxophone SN66,xxx. Made in France. AMAZING tone!
Nothing compares to. a MK VI Tenor with a low(66.Xxx- 1956 era) serial number. It has the original neck, with matching serial number. Here is the standard by which ALL other saxophones are judged. I am retired from full time music. So I don't need this honey any more, and she deserves to be played by someone who appreciates the absolute very BEST. Mark VI horns are the best made, and this particular vintage(with serial no. under#100K) is the best of the best. This horn has a gorgeous patina. Since it has never been relacquered. It has about 40% original lacquer left, and the SOUND is exquisite! It is a free-blowing tenor that steps up equally well for blues, rock, jazz, classical, or(you name it. It speaks from the darkest to the brightest and owns the entire range from a whisper to a scream. It has held up under full-time professional ... moregigging, from the tropics, to the desert, to the frozen north. In terms of wear& tear. The lacquer is aged and worn to some degree, and as sax-savvy folks know, relacquering can absolutely destroy the tone of a vintage Selmer. There are NO dents or serious scratches anywhere on the horn. About 10 years ago, due to a natural flaw in the brass the instrument was made from, a tiny hole appeared on the left side of the bow. My repair man has a sense of humor and rather than just soldering on a little brass plate, he added an extra pearl button(see picture. It is a MAJOR conversation piece, plus it hasn't affected the sound of the horn in the least. It leaves folks to wonder where I am getting the"extra finger" from to play that"key. Ask ANY sax technician about this vintage of saxophones and you will usually hear"It's the BEST. If you are seeking to be the BEST in your musical life. This is the axe for you! Buy it, play it, and you will never want to put it down. I know it's a cliche, but this horn really DOES"play itself" to some extent. You will never touch a better-playing horn. Go ahead and get it! Morgan 7EL (.095 facing) Excalibur Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece
I purchased this mouthpiece used a few years ago as a back-up. But it was before I really understood much about facing length and tip opening. It's in really good shape, but the facing is.095(measurement of a 7 according to the Morgan website) and what I need is closer to.110 or.115. It has a really great sound and, while not for me, I believe it plays exactly as it should. It's vibrant and clear, I just need to be able to open up more. The engraving has the shield of Buffet Crampon Paris and then it is written Evette and Schaeffer Anc Mon Buffet Crampon& Cie, 18 et 20 passage du Gd Cerf.Paris which means: Evette& Schaeffer formely Buffet Crampon and cie house. And the address of the company in those years. The instrument number is the 17130 which means it has been made between September of 1906 and may of 1907. For it’s age the saxophone is in pretty good shape. Just a slight bump on the low part. The horn plays on all notes but of course it needs to be overhauled, pads are old. SERIAL# 49229- MADE BETWEEN 1950-1970 We believe this is a Bel Air model as the serial# falls within the range when that instrument was being made. However. Bel Air" is not etched in the bell so we are not 100% certain if that is the correct model. The bell simply reads- Dolnet- Paris- Made In France. Cosmetically. This horn has the normal wear you would associate with a vintage(at least 40 year old. maybe older) saxophone. There are some scratches and a few minor dings- no dents. At the end of the bell there is a slight crease/bend. This is an antique Everite Low Pitch Tenor Saxophone which I believe is a Conn stencil. Pat Date is Dec. 8.1914. Serial number is 511211 with Low Pitch and License Pat. Dec. 18.1914 underneath that. Includes original case with wear(missing strap) but closes fine. Appears to have original Conn mouthpiece. Also, has a spare reed, bras sinser for storage when elbow crook piece is removed and some old rosin. Appears to be in good condition, has some spotting to finishe and a few dings but no major dents. A fingering piece may have come loose and is included. Not sure if anything is missing or this horn is functional in the current condition.

1930s Selmer Super Tenor Saxophone #19915 - parts or repair project - NO NECK!!

Serial#19915, from the 1930s. It is the era of the"Cigar Cutter" models though this sax does not have the cigar-cutter shaped octave mechanism. There is very little lacquer left. And we suspect it was relacquered at some point. The engraving on the bell is still pretty sharp though so if it was relacquered it was done well. The main issue with this sax is that it has NO NECK! And no. There is no possibility that we have the neck any where. Other issues with this sax are that there are a couple of dents(shown in the photos) A few poorly done solder joints, a missing pearl, ... morea missing pad and the rest of the pads need to be replaced. And we are not guaranteeing that it does not have other issues that I didn't mention! So if you have or can get a neck to work with this sax, you are still looking at a complete major over haul. Vintage 1924 Nickel Plated Conn Tenor Saxophone
Here is a wonderful. Vintage 1924 original heavy nickel plated Conn tenor saxophone, serial number beginning 131XXX. Very nice playing horn-has that dark, meaty, ringing tone these babies are known for. Powerful and projecting sound. Amazingly clean horn which came from wine country in Santa Rosa, California and the original case had an intact Santa Rosa Junior College red bear cub emblem decorating the side, which probably dates back to the 1920's. Purchased about a year ago, the horn had sat in its case for about 80 years-it still had white kid pads that were probably original, but most were falling off! So the horn was recently overhauled and set up with Conn Res-O-Pads. A few of the original white rollers were seized up, so were replaced with black rollers that work fine, giving the sax a"salt and pepper" appearance with ... morethe mixed rollers. Horn has one flattened area on the bottom of the bow guard where it took a solid hit, but doesn't appear to involve the bow itself-just the guard. Has a few wear areas to the key touches and other spots on the bright nickel plating, and a couple of minor dings only, otherwise is remarkably clean for its age. Will consider serious offers. Cannonball Big Bell Stone Series tenor sax with extra fat neck(nickle finish) Includes original Cannonball C* mouthpiece. One owner. Lightly used. No dents or dings. I love this horn and the ONLY reason I am selling it is because I want to buy an alto sax. It blows super easy from top to bottom and it has a big fat beautiful tone. It comes with the extra fat neck for a slightly more brilliant tone. As you can see in the photos, it has the Mad Meg finish(antique patina) and is decorated with semi precious cats eye stones. Also included is the original Cannonball C* mouthpiece as well as a shoulder harness and a swab. The Cannonball brand has a good reputation among teachers and professionals. I recently noted that Branford Marsalis now endorses Cannonball horns. As I said, I love this horn and I believe you will too!

SELMER 1244 TENOR SAXOPHONE Serial Number#1295330 Cool Factory Made Matte Finish on horn Body in Good Pre-Owned Condition Comes with mouthpiece Horn is in playable condition now Comes with the original hard shelled case The matte finish on the horn give it an vintage antique look. The body is in good condition a few nicks and scratches. But no dents. The neck is missing a metal piece that does nothing for the sax, it certainly does not effect the way it plays or the strength of the neck. It comes with one mouthpiece. I had the sax looked over by a repairman and he put a couple of new pads on it and some adjustments making the horn in playable condition.
