I've restored this and set it up at a.101 tip size(Otto Link 7) and it plays wonderfully. It has a nice big baffle, slightly flat with a rollover thin tip and siderails as well. The Early Babbitt Chamber is for practical purposes one of the best they ever made. It is slightly smaller. Selmer Mk VI Tenor Saxophone 1956 Original & Near Mint Treasure w/Original Case
Welcome to bid on a completely original vintage Selmer MK VI tenor saxophone made in 1956. This is the real thing. Serial number 67xxx. This one has American engraving, and the lacquer finish is completely original and in excellent shape, almost a mint condition horn. This has the sound and response that many are looking for. The neck is original with matching serial number and free of damage in excellent shape. With some normal flaking of the lacquer but NO DENTS or past damage as far as I can see. The body has only minor scratches. Speckling and wear, maybe some tiny dings but nothing remarkable, photos show pretty much everything. There are no resolders on this horn and the physical condition as well as the appearance are just wonderful. Original Selmer trey-pack chesterfield case and case cover included. The pads are all original and ... morecurrently playing. Any buyer should figure that they will have an old horn like this set up to their preference. It will be amazing with a pro setup. These 60xxx horns are probably the most consistently great and vibrant period of the MK VI model run; loud. Warm, bright, complex, mellow when needed, depth, good intonation, very thick sound, free blowing all the things we like. These are all original pads with lacquer still on them, original Selmer"Tone-x" nickel plated brass resonators. Nothing has ever been repaired or replaced on this horn as far as I can tell besides maybe a neck cork. The pearls have slightly soft edges so this horn has actually been played, but someone took care of it amazingly well and really valued it. This beautiful instrument will be sold AS IS and just exactly as you see it in the photos. I try my best to describe what I see. And while there is nothing to hide, some tiny details may be missed. SCHENKELAARS TENOR SAXOPHONE MFG in Eindhoven.Holland This is a vintage monster horn made in Holland by Schenkelaars; this model was chosen and used for the Concord Artist Series in NYC from 1959- 1963. Which was conducted by Leopold Stokowski(Conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra) the manager for Schenkelaars was trained by Keilwerth. Yanagisawa Silver 7 Facing Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece, Ligature and Cap XLNT
This is a next to new Yanagisawa silver plated brass tenor sax mouthpiece with a 7 facing(102) with ligature. Cap and original box. These are square chamber mouthpieces which create a rich uniform sound throughout the horn and are very easy blowing. In terms of style, they are extremely flexible and get a bit brighter as more air is pushed through them. This lets the player of any skill level create their own sound while keeping intonation spot on and the ligature is a perfect match for this mouthpiece. I have played Yani’s for years and they are extremely saxophone and reed friendly. I just have decided that I am personally more comfortable with hard rubber. This is a fantastic tenor sax mouthpiece. A Vandoren gold plated V16 with a T77 facing(109) and also a V16 ligature and cap with three different reed plates(from wide open to ensemble) These are amazing tenor mouthpieces and I have played them for years on a wide variety of modern and vintage horns. I am selling because over time I am just more comfortable with hard rubber. These have a big warm sound that is extremely responsive to being pushed or gentle sub-tones. The V16 was designed to sound like the classic Dukoff Hollywood metal mouthpieces of the 1940’s and 50’s made famous by monster players like Dexter Gordon. But doesn't affect playability at all. Can clearly see diagonal machine markings on the facing. Some tooth marks on beak, but I have always played it with a tooth patch. Plays well as is, but would be a great piece if it was opened up. RAC tenor mouthpiece marked 95-21. This piece was modified by Bob Carpenter. It started off life as a Bundy mouthpiece I think. Bob has opened it up and and has given it a small rollover baffle. There a few marks on the piece(some scratches in the chamber from modification) But nothing on the tip or rails that affects playability. It plays very well. 1914 Saxophone Tenor Silver coating E.Domage Phila. Pa. with a leather bag. Measures little over 30 inches. The number on the back are 1119954 with a T under them then P2869 with an L under them. Has wear. Octave key over the neck is missing, the pads look ok and there's one dent It looks like it has teeth groves from playing. I believe that this is a signature saxophone made by conn or other saxophone maker. I don't know what key it is. I know nothing about saxophones. Being sold as is. For sale a superb professional vintage horns 1928 Conn New Wonder Series II tenor saxophone in modern low pitch(A=440)With a post manufacture lacquer job(it would have been bare brass originally) I do not know much about saxophones and this is all I know: I think it looks as though it needs a repad. Or has limited life left on the pads installed. It also appears as though modern, extra large resonators were used during the last repad. A conventional flat metal resonator would be a better choice for these in my opinion. At any rate I think it is missing some felts and corks. With an adjustment by a good tech is certainly in order. These are still very desirable and often played professional horns with a terrific. Huge, spread tone. It also looks like have a vintage Bobby Dukoff mouthpiece. It is in very good shape. I still remember the first time I played this mouthpiece. And instantly knew I had to have it. It totally revamped playing. Such a full sound! And projection! Sorry for the blurry photos. But you can probably see some of the spotting that's ocurred. There is no physical difference, they are not pitted holes, just discoloration from oxidation over the years. I did some light cleaning but I'm leaving it to you to clean and sterilize to your satisfaction. You'll also notice the bite guard has… well, bites on it. This doesn't affect the sound, but perhaps you want to order an adhesive bite guard to go with this. Saxscape Xtra Dark tenor saxophone mouthpiece
This is one of four Saxscape(prototype/B-stock) mouthpieces I have accumulated directly from Ken Barry via Ebay. My initial plan was to use this broad spectrum of Ken's mouthpieces to help me zero in on which of his product line I might like best. As it turned out I liked the way all of them played in the environments for which they were designed. This is a great deal for a great horn. I bought it in 2005 and played for a few years but I just haven't had the time to get back into playing. It is French made, and there are a few scratches in the finish but you have to look for them and they aren't visible from an audience perspective. I'm only asking for half of what it's worth as I need the money fast, and I would like to know that someone who can appreciate it will own it. It would be put to much better use with a student or avid player than it is sitting in my room untouched for 5 years. I can also assure you that it will be cleaned and shined before it is shipped, and it comes with a neck strap, bell brush, cork grease, and reed holders. I hope there are some out there that see it's value.

Beautiful Conn "Lady in the Bell" Silver Tenor Saxophone
What we have here today boys and girls is an absolutely perfect silver Conn"Lady in the bell" tenor saxophone. The serial number is#331159 which I believe dates it to the early 40s. The instrument is completely unblemished. There are no dents. Dings, pull downs, pull ups, rust spots, re-soldiers, or anything else that would indicate that it has ever been mistreated. The bell is gold washed and like the rest of the horn is perfect. Some of the pads have been on the horn for awhile but it plays beautifully and you can take it to a gig right out of the box. Under the classic Conn"Lady" engraving the letters"US" and the serial number are engraved as well which I think means it was made for the military- you can see it in one of the photos. I use an older Ralph Morgan mouthpiece(not included) with a very large bore ... moreand#8 1/2 tip opening and it really sounds dark and pretty close to the great Ben Webster sound that used to be popular. Having said that, I'm sure you can get whatever sound you're after with this axe with your own mouthpiece. I recently had the lower stack adjusted and the horn has excellent intonation. This is really a very fine instrument and whoever ends up with it is going to be very, very, happy. On the downside, the case is a mess. It's an older fiberglass Conn case but not worth anything except it will be good to ship the horn in(inside an additional box) I have a very low reserve so go crazy and bid often. As always, if you receive the horn and feel like I've misrepresented it in any way you can return it for a full refund(never happened yet- I didn't get 100% positive responses from"gilding the lily" so to speak) In any case, I'll take paypal(preferred) but pretty much anything short of an IOU works and ship UPS or FedEx within 48 hours for a measly $30 bucks. Sorry for the blurry and not so clearly detailed photo's. It's the best my camera has to offer. I purchased this Tenor sax about a year ago. It plays well but could use some adjustments,cleaning and maybe a few new pads. the previous owner made some adjustments to the height of the keys. This can be corrected if you choose to do so, still plays fine. The neck is in nice condition. Cork is still okay, could always use a change for better playing. there has been some soldering in a few spots as well as the lower hand grasp was moved and is covering up some of the serial numbers. I can only make out a few numbers, I am not sure of the year, if i were to guess it would be 7o"s or 80's model, only a guess. The bell has had some straightening of minor dents that were on it. Again all changes are from previous owners. The Brass ... moreis in real nice condition. Some minor dings throughout the body of sax,nothing major. The case is in rough condition. It will protect it in shipping and traveling but the Zipper is on it's last legs. The case is a vinyl travel bag. No Mouthpiece or strap or reeds are included. Please no returns. King Zephyr Tenor Saxophone. 295236 Here is an excellent example of a classic. Vintage King Zephyr tenor saxophone. Serial number 295236 dates its manufacture to about 1948. This is around the time that King was introducing the Super 20 model. Some sax historians believe that the Zephyr and the Super 20 shared the same body dimensions at this time. That makes the Zephyr the"poor man's Super 20" as the Super 20's tend to sell for much more than the Zephyrs. Whether or not that is true, this Zephyr is a great playing saxophone. Beautiful warm, complex sound quality, quick response, even scale and quick, smooth action. An expressive horn, a joy to play on. The original lacquer is about 80-90% intact. With wear areas on the touch pieces, the G key keycup, and some scratches. Please see the photos, they will give you a very good ... moreidea of the condition of the lacquer. There are 2-4 tiny, pen-point dings, mostly on the bottom bow, too small to have any effect on play-ability. Again, please check the photos. Pads are older, but completely intact and seating well. Springs in good shape. The action is light but lively. The horn plays quite well as is, but you may want to have your horn tech go over it to set it up to your own specs. This horn has the triple strap-hook rings. An original King design that has been copied lately on some import saxophones. It also has the double socket neck, ensuring a nice tight seal. Removable triangular clothes guard on the left side, rounded wire key guard on the Eb, C, and B-Bb keys. This auction is for a vintage King tenor saxophone made by H.N. White company of Cleveland OH. This instrument is not in playable condition. It is being sold as is for parts or restoration. This is a very early King. The serial number 38.Xxx(matching on neck) indicates a manufacture date of c1910(give or take a couple of years) It is low pitch, the desired tuning for modern application. This sax is complete except for a missing octave key. It has the old style octave mechanism that encompasses three seperate parts on the body plus one on the neck. It isn't an archaic dual octave key mechanism, but it isn't a modern"floating" style mechanism either. It is an automatic octave ... morekey. The part that is missing is the thumb button part. The parts with the pads(both the neck and body pads) are present, as is the lever that trips the neck key. So, of all the parts that could be missing this is probably the easiest to replace either with a spare from a donor horn, or you could have your tech manufacture a new one or modify an existing key from a different brand. The posts for this key are intact and the pivot screws are present. It looks like someone just took it off for repairs and never replaced it, or possibly it was swiped for another horn. Other than that the horn is complete, but of course there are other issues. The body looks relatively straight. There are several small dings and a couple slightly pushed in key guard feet. One of these key guard feet also has a partially broken solder joint. The thumb hook is also pushed in slightly. The neck has not been pulled down, but one side of the key saddle has been pushed in ever so slightly. All keys are moving and rebounding freely, although many of the rollers are not turning freely. VINTAGE MARTIN TENOR SAXOPHONE SAX BELL music instrument LAMP LIGHT
Made from a vintage MARTIN TENOR SAXOPHONE BELL this one of a kind lamp has the hand engraved bell with the original lacquer. The bell key cups for low B/Bb are soldered to the tone holes and the original martin key guard has been used. On the bell is engraved THE MARTIN TENOR- ELKHART-IND-USA(I tried to show this in the pictures) This lamp was made from an instrument that was missing key work that is no longer available and missing the neck. Rebuilding this Sax was not an option unfortunately. Rest assured. Other parts from this horn have been used to give new life to other vintage Martins. This lamp measures 15 inches tall and sits on a 4 1/2 inch wide solid heavy vintage spelter lamp base. Everything about this lamp is vintage except the wiring is new and takes a small 25 wt night light bulb to give off a great glow. Own a piece of Saxophone ... morehistory! This in not a copy it is an original vintage Martin Saxophone bell. A unique one of a kind functional lamp!
